Daily i run the company together with my brother. 
I take care of all technical matters in the company while my brother takes care of sales and customer relations.
Days range from administrative things to construction in 3D and calculations of quotations.

Since I was a kid I have loved building stuff with my hands. 

My dad having his own workshop, let me play around with tools and various materials. 

It lead to a passion for technology and creating stuff. 

My dad got me into racing gokarts and formula/car racing from when i was 12 till i was 18. 

When I was 17 I got into MMA and have been having fights as well. 

I studied Mechanical engineering at Aalborg University for 3 years before I started my own company, DIC Group, during the summer before my 4th year. It was an incredible experience and I quickly saw that in the first 2 months of starting my own company that summer, I made more money that I would in half a year as a mechanical engineer. This, combined with my extensive background growing up in a workshop, allowed me to bet on myself and take the leap into DIC Group full time instead of finishing my studies. 

By age 22, I scaled DIC Group to 22 employees, $2 million (USD) in revenue, and made my first million in profit (DKK). Then, I experienced by biggest business hardship at the time when a massive contract went south. In the end it unfortunately cost me my company and ended in bankruptcy. Even though I felt like giving up, I refused to do so. I simply believe that the way to win is through perseverance. So, I got back up and took all of my learnings and experience into my next venture, Airflight.

Shortly after the bankruptcy I founded @Airflight together with a team ( now we are only 2 founders) with the aim of making ordinary people get an extraordinary experience by flying in a flying car.

We flew the flying car and got a lot of media attention that showed us an market opportunity within the Wind turbine industry for flying spare parts and tools. 

Airflight now applied for grants and investment to convert the flying car into an unmanned 100kg payload drone called the AF100. One of the largest quadcopters in the world. 

With the AF100 flying we raised capital and got more grants to build the AF200 a 200kg payload drone that would be able to solve multiple industry headaches. 

Unfortunately we crashed the AF200 in the midst of a funding round, forcing us to scale down operations. This crash seemed to be the end of Airflight. 

Though we found a market for our already developed payload delivery system that we had developed to solve our own problem of automatic delivery and pick up of payloads for our drone. 

The universe had me going back to my roots in industrial piping solutions. 

I love the game of business and will probably work till the day I die, because I just cant stop.

Nogengange så føles det som om det aldrig stopper med at være fyldt med rør hos os i Jack Foged A/S. Men det er nok ikke underligt når det er det vi lever og ånder for. 

At holde et knivskarpt fokus på rør byg gør os til en stærk partner for dig som gerne vil have lavet en rørpakke med komplet installation og dokumentation. 

Vi har eksisteret i snart 40 år og passionen brænder stadig lige så stærkt som da Jack startede virksomheden. 

Fordi vi brænder for at bygge rør.

Med både et rustfrit og sort værksted tager vi gerne de mere komplekse rør-opgaver hvor begge materialer er tilstede i rørsystemet. 

Hvad det betyder er at du med ro i maven kan vælge os til at varetage alle rør ligegyldigt om det er sort stål eller rustfrit eller et mix. 

Vi har sågar 3D CNC rørskære samt robot svejser hvis tingene er tykvægget og kræver ekstra indsats. 

Ha ro i maven når du vælger os som solid samarbejdspartner, vi har eksisteret i 39 år som familie-ejet virksomhed og vil næsten tro vi tager 40 år mere. 

For når vi har de lange briller på så ses vores forhold ikke som blot et ekstra nummer i regnskabsprogrammet, nej vi er partnere. 

Er vi perfekte? Nej. 
Begår vi fejl? ja. 

Men vi forsøger hver eneste dag at blive 1% bedre end igår. 
Hvorfor? Fordi vi elsker at bygge rør for vores kunder.

Når processer og miljø er på plads så går tingene normalt hurtigere end på site. Derfor hjælper vi et hav af kunder med units hvor rør bliver svejst på værkstedet og monteret i stålstativer så der er klar til hurtig montering på site. 

Dette er oftest et godt alternativ hvis tingene skal instaleres hurtigt på site for at minimere downtime eksempelvis. 

Samtidig er det oftest mere konkurrencedygtigt at gøre det på denne måde da  sikkerhed, kvalitet og pris oftest er bedre når tingene er lavet på værkstedet. 

Står du og skal have lavet units med rør så kan det være du godt vil have et sæt ekstra øjne på tingene. I dette tilfælde så skal du blot skrive eller ringe til mig så tager vi en uforligtende snak og ser om vi kan være behjælpelig.

This month something hit me hard.

Doesn't matter how tough you think you are. 
Doesn't matter if everything's going well.

Life will find a way to punch you in the face.
And it did.
Bad news. The kind where you just sit for a minute and go "fuck."

Then after sitting with it for a while, I started looking for what was still good in the situation.
Not to make myself feel better.
Just because it was there.

The bad thing is still bad. I'm not pretending it's not.
But there's also good stuff that happened before this. Real things. Years of good.
I can hold onto that too.

I used to think acknowledging the good meant I wasn't taking the bad seriously enough.
Like I had to be completely destroyed to prove it mattered.
But that's bullshit.

You can look at a bad situation and still say: "yeah, but at least we had this."
That's not denying reality. That's seeing all of it.

The bad and the good. Both true at the same time.

Same thing happens in work. Project fails. Deal falls through. Team member leaves.
You can hold the loss and still see what you built along the way.

Week after week pipespools are leaving our production. 
This is only possible because we have some of the best people at Jack Foged A/S. 

People who chose to go the way of the builder. 
The people who put the work in to construct the constructions and piping systems that are designed. 

This Monday I just want to express my gratitude for all the people working in a service/construction role. You guys are awesome, thank you for your effort in making the world being built and going around.

When you are genuinely excited for Mondays you know you are on the right track. 

There will always be work that is more fun than other work. 

But if you generally is happy to meet up on Mondays, just be grateful and appreciative you are already ahead.

Jacob and Philip started working in their father's workshop as kids. Not watching from the sidelines. Actually working.

Their father Jack started this company almost 40 years ago with his hands, and his sons learned the trade the same way. They got their blue-collar education first, working on the shop floor, before they went on to get their white-collar credentials.

I think that's a big part of why we've been successful as a contractor in the piping systems industry.
Because I came up the same way.

I was raised in a workshop myself. I've spent more than 15 years in steel and manufacturing, and thousands of those hours were spent building and welding. Learning what works in theory versus what actually works when you're 20 feet up with a torch in your hand.

That shared background creates something you can't get from a company where the leadership has only seen projects from a desk.
When you're dealing with complex piping systems and tight deadlines, you need people who understand what's happening on-site. Not just what the drawings say, but what actually happens when tolerances stack up and nothing quite fits the way it should.

We've all been there. We know what goes wrong and why it goes wrong.
That's the foundation of how we work with our customers. We're not just quoting and delivering. We're in it with you when the project gets complicated.

So if you're looking for a supplier who sends you a price list and moves on to the next job, we're probably not the right fit.

But if you need a partner who understands the technical challenges because we've lived them ourselves, then we should talk.

The requirements for documentation is increasing which is why it is important to have a piping partner that is used to dealing with high documentation requirements. 

At Jack Foged A/S we have implemented multiple digital solutions that increases the efficiency of the documentation which in the end benefits our customers. 

Investing in processes and documentation is a must when you want to deliver at the highest quality possible. 

So if you are a tender manager or bid manager and you can see the projects has high demands on documentation, then maybe it is time we have an informal talk about how we potentially can help you and your company delivering the project on time and well documented.

We all make mistakes in life!
It is simple inevitable and it is okay. 
Just fix your mistake and get back on track. 

But let me tell you something that I have learned in my career that have been confirmed to me over and over again. 

There exist people out there that see their mistakes and then they don't fix them, simply because they think no one sees them or will discover it. careless behavior...

Like this guy who pissed on the floor without cleaning. you got NO excuse on this one... Every man who uses a urinal knows that you can't miss to see if you pissed on the floor. 

This type of person is the same person that doesn't clean the toilet after them. careless of other people. This type of person doesn't belong on a high performance team. 

Needless to say I cleaned the floor so I was hopefully the only one with shoes filled with yellow dirty water. 

If we all just care 1% more about each other then maybe just maybe it will make a big impact.

Someone asked me the other day: " how can I be more authentic" 
Without hesitation my first answer was:

Just start saying NO more. 
Way to many of us say yes to things that dont feel right, but we do it to be "polite" or whatever. 

When you start acting more in accordance to how you feel deeply, that is where you will find your authentic self in my opinion.

What makes someone authentic?

I just finished reading the book of Stefan Avivson this morning and it was a good reminder of something: 

That we need to be reminded more than we need to be taught. 

His book is almost like a small bible on sales, cut to the bone, no fluff. 
Just simple principles that work. 

How do I know they work? 

Because I use most of them in my daily life. 

The book is worth a read if you are in sales, not because you will be blown a way by fancy small hacks to linkedin or newest AI sales tools. 

But because you will be reminded on that simple things that have worked the last 100 years will keep working. 

Why? 

Because we humans still have the same brain that functions in the same way. 

Great job Stefan on the book. 

Packed with valuable reminders and insights if you are new to sales.

No amount of material possessions can you give you: real deep down status. 

Because the real status is when you look yourself in the mirror, that good feeling you get there....

That's status.

I like to share what I believe is also a great colleague:

Today is maybe the day where you tell that colleague of yours how much the mean to you. 

It got me reflecting on the question: " Are the best colleagues actually friends in disguise 🥸 "????

Linkedin is one of the most powerful tools in the world if you know how to use it correctly. 

I have been using the last month to sort out and unfollow so many people. 

The reason.
