Currently undertaking an assistant manager role within the audit department at KPMG in Manchester working across both external audit and internal audit roles c50/50.

In 2011 I joined KPMG on the Graduate Scheme within Internal Audit (IARCS) department. With the role I was required to complete 3 years training to become an Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with ICAEW. 
Shortly after joining KPMG I made the decision to undertake external audit roles along side the internal audit work. This gave me an invaluable insight into the financial side of statutory audits and as a result now split my time half and half between internal and external audit work.

In 2014 I became a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW.

During my temporary job at the Co-operative I worked on the licensing department. The job role required application and management of premise licenses and personal licenses to stores and individual managers in their stores throughout the UK. The job demanded organisation, quick thinking, tracking, problem solving and cooperation from all team members which is crucial to the smooth running of the department. The Co-operative was undergoing a name change which required all licenses to be re-issued within a deadline. We worked efficiently as a team in order to create a resourceful environment in which to meet given deadlines.

Throughout University holidays and after gaining my degree I undertook numerous roles at Lend Lease on a temporary basis. I worked at Lend Lease on various contracts for 3 years undertaking roles such as; administrative assistant, receptionist, HR assistant and legal assistant.
During this time I built up a strong relationship with many of the employees at the company resulting in a 2 week temp contract escalating into a 3 year intermittent role.

This allowed me to save for a planned 3 months trip to South America before I began my career at KPMG.
