🌟 At just 6 years 335 days old, "Simar Khurana" from #Beamsville, #Ontario, #Canada, earned the #GuinnessWorldRecord for the youngest video‑game developer.👏

She built a simple, educational game called #HealthyFoodChallenge, which teaches kids the difference between nutritious and junk food. 

The idea sparked after a family‑doctor visit warned her and her sister about eating too much junk food, so Simar turned that lesson into a playable experience. 

Her parents noticed her knack for maths and coding early on—she was solving grade‑3 math problems in kindergarten and taught herself by watching #YouTube videos. 

After a tough search for a teacher willing to take a six‑year‑old, she began three coding classes a week, later bumped to four to meet the record deadline. 

In just a few months she designed, coded, and polished the game, balancing school, dance, gymnastics, karate and her coding practice (about 1–2 hours of coding each day). 

#Guinness verified the achievement in September 2023, and Simar celebrated by sharing her progress on her #YouTubeChannel “Simar’s World”.👏🌟

🧠💻 "Every neuron that fires in silicon is a heartbeat of tomorrow's intelligence!"

The CL1 from Melbourne‑based Cortical Labs is essentially a shoebox‑sized “living computer” that packs about 800,000 lab‑grown human neurons onto a silicon chip. Those neurons are derived from skin or blood cells that have been reprogrammed into induced pluripotent stem cells and then coaxed into forming functional neural tissue. 

How it Works:
A micro‑electrode array (MEA) sits beneath the neural layer and acts as a two‑way bridge: it reads the electrical “spikes” the neurons fire and, within a millisecond, sends tiny electrical pulses back to the cells. This sub‑millisecond latency lets the system treat the living tissue almost like a conventional processor—except the neurons learn and reorganize on their own, giving the device a biological form of adaptability. 

Whats Inside:
👉 *Life‑support system*: a perfusion circuit that circulates a nutrient‑rich solution, filters waste, controls temperature and gas mix, and keeps everything circulating. 

👉 *Silicon‑neuron interface*: custom‑designed printed‑circuit boards and an FPGA that translate Python‑level commands into the electrical signals the neurons understand. 

👉 *Power draw*: roughly 850‑1,000 W, far less than a data‑center GPU farm but still a sizable plug‑in load. 

👉 *Longevity*: the living neurons stay viable for about six months before they need to be replaced. 

Cost and availability:
Cortical Labs began shipping the CL1 in the summer of 2025 at a price tag of around $35,000 per unit ¹ ². Early adopters include pharma researchers, finance analysts, game developers and AI scientists who are curious about “synthetic biological intelligence.”

Why it matters:
Because the neurons can reorganize and learn in real time, the CL1 can tackle tasks that are hard for traditional AI—like adapting to novel sensory inputs on the fly. That makes it attractive for drug discovery (testing compounds on a living neural substrate), disease modeling, adaptive robotics, and even experimental gaming (the system was famously taught to play Pong). 

Challenges and ethics:
The technology is still early‑stage. Device variability, noise, and the need for robust on‑chip learning algorithms are technical hurdles ³. On the ethical side, researchers highlight concerns about sentience, mental integrity and data privacy when living neural tissue is directly interfaced with silicon. 

Cortical Labs says they have built guardrails, but the debate around “wetware” rights is only just beginning.

In short, the CL1 is a hybrid biocomputer that blends living human neurons with conventional electronics, offering a glimpse of a future where computing isn’t just silicon‑based but also biologically adaptive—for a price of $35 k per unit and a mix of exciting possibilities and cautious questions.
