AI for Non-Techies, born from a newsletter of the same name, was launched out of a clear need for non-technical AI education.   I'm deeply passionate and enthusiastic about helping non-technical people understand and integrate AI into their work and personal lives.

2025 was absolutely mental 🤯
£100k months, huge brands, big stages
But I also worked to dangerous levels
Here's how I'm planning to tackle 2026:

The year just gone was both the most successful AND the most unhealthy I've had. 

• We got ourselves from £20k/mo to £115k/mo, breaking the elusive "million pound month" barrier
• Both Google and Microsoft got in touch to praise what we do and how we're teaching people the tools they've built
• We had some of the world's biggest brands come to us for their AI training - and were delighted with the results
• I presented on some humongous stages, alongside celebrities and academics

BUT 

• I worked more hours than I've ever worked, often doing 12-14 hours a day and 7 day weeks, at full speed, full effort
• I had frequent nightmares and disturbed sleep, and my anxiety disorder got noticeably worse
• My friends and family were constantly telling me they were worried about me

I burnt myself out completely. 
It isn't big, it isn't clever. 
It's bloody dangerous.

I closed the business for 2 weeks over Christmas, and have had a lot of time to think deeply about how I will approach the coming year. 

1. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
   I'm a massive, perfectionist bottleneck. I'll be carefully (but continuously) hiring for key roles and building strong, documented systems and standards that don't rely on me to deliver.
   
2. 𝗦𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼 (𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀)
   We've set ambitious growth targets for 2026, aiming for £280k/mo by Dec 2026. If an opportunity doesn't serve those goals, it's a no. Even if it sounds fun. Even if it's flattering. Even if there's free food. No.

3. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀
   Set hours. Hard stops. No more "just one more email", no more "quick weekend catch-up" that turns into a 14-hour day. 

I'm ridiculously proud of what we achieved in 2025 - AI for Non-Techies has done SO much. 

In 2026, I'm keeping the fierce ambition but I'll be just as fierce about ditching the unhealthy habits. 
 
💬 What's one thing you'll be doing differently this year?

My business grew 5x last year
One simple workflow helped hugely
3 simple steps + 2 tools (£40ish total)

Step 1: Ramble to your heart’s content. No need for any structure. 

Step 2: Download that big rambly transcript 

Step 3: Upload it into your AI chatbot of choice with a good prompt.  

Ramble chat = solid gold.

About Me... (again!)

Blimey, I read my about me section this morning, and it was depressing! It felt really unlike me as a person, not at all authentic (in the proper sense of the word), and far too much like a sales pitch, which, let's face it, puts every person and their dog off! (And I like humans and dogs.) 

So, what you are reading now is my next go at this, and hopefully, you agree it is already, in its own charming yet clumsy way, coming across a lot better as a read, even though you still have absolutely no idea what I do!

But is that a problem?  

I mean, you and I both know that the most important thing is that you gravitate towards people first because they aren't complete (I could use a rude word here, but I'll refrain!). and that later on, when people get to know each other, a sharing of vision and maybe an exchange of money or time happens. 

All you need to know is that I spend a lot of my time here. I have customers I call friends who I help grow their businesses using my particular set of skills, allowing them to have at least a few more smiles on their faces and pounds in their pockets. 

I am not a simple guy! I can't be and don't want to be pigeon-holed in terms of what I do. I am equally at home creating conversational content as I sit in an investor meeting with you or draft a presentation or business plan. 

I am happy to do all the bits you probably don't like, hence why you are here, and I will become indispensable to your operation because we will laugh and cry together and share the ups and downs. 

So, at this stage, let's not get bogged down in the details. You found me because something resonated or someone said, 'Go check him out,' so let's meet up, talk, and take it from there.

My Music Interview with Mina Walkure of Bronze 

You can do brilliant work and still be invisible...

Long before “purpose-led business” became a LinkedIn buzzphrase, she was talking  loudly and unapologetically  about fair trade, environmental responsibility, animal welfare, and human rights... 

She didn’t whisper it.

She didn’t wait until everything was perfect.

She didn’t assume “people will just know we’re doing good.”

She understood something many businesses still struggle with.. 

Doing good work isn’t enough if no one understands why it matters.

This business didn’t just sell products.
It sold values.

And those values travelled because the story was clear, human, and repeatable.

Do you know who it is?? 🤔

Which brings me to a  question I see many business owners avoiding... 

Especially the ones who genuinely want to do good:

Are you actually telling your story… or just living it privately?

Because you can care deeply.
You can help people.
You can run an ethical, thoughtful, values-driven business.
And still be invisible... 

Good intentions don’t travel far without clear stories....

When it comes to telling your business story, which feels most true right now?

When I ask a simple question...

“What comes to mind when you hear ‘workplace assessment’?”

…I don't get one clear answer.

I get lots.

Some think it is a skills appraisal.
Some thought I meant DSE (Display Screen Equipment).
Some thought it was ergonomics.
Some thought it was those mandatory workplace videos followed by a multiple-choice test.

One comment really stuck with me:

“Honestly? I have no idea.
The only assessment I’ve ever had was a one-page questionnaire during Covid.
No measurements. No photos. Just: do you have a chair, a desk… or are you working from the sofa?”

Others shared that they’d never come across ergonomic assessments at all, despite them being a legal requirement in the UK.

And that’s the problem.

We’re using the same words to describe very different things.

No wonder employees are confused.
No wonder employers are nervous.
No wonder things get missed.

So on 26th January at 2 pm, we’re tackling this head-on.
