Follow these steps:
1. Go to chatgpt.com
2. Click on your profile picture on bottom left.
3. Click ‘Personalization’.
4. Select ‘Base style and tone’ from the available options. This helps you set the basic style and tone of how ChatGPT responds to you.
5. In ‘Custom Instructions’ add what you want ChatGPT to have and not have in its outputs.
6. Add your nickname ChatGPT can use in chats.
7. Add your occupation so ChatGPT understands you better.
8. Add more information about your interests, values, tone of voice, writing style, and preferences.
9. Enable or disable memory to let ChatGPT know more about you
10. Enable or disable record mode to enable or disable ChatGPT using previous chats as references to create new outputs

Dos:
- Do specify your role and goals clearly so the model knows your context.
- Do define how you prefer the tone, style, and format of responses.
- Do keep your instructions concise and manageable rather than overly long.
- Do update or refine your custom instructions as your needs or projects evolve.
- Do use custom instructions to reduce repetition and improve consistency across chats.

Don'ts:
- Don’t overload the instruction fields with every little preference; it can reduce effectiveness.
- Don’t assume the model will read between vague instructions; be explicit when necessary.
- Don’t include extremely sensitive or proprietary personal data if you’re unsure about usage/privacy.

Output I got:
- ChatGPT cleaned the data & gave me a good report, & then here are the key takeaways I got in an easy-to-understand way.

Do's of using ChatGPT for data analysis:

Act as an impartial philosopher. State my position: “{insert position}.” Identify the strongest possible opposing thesis that a highly intelligent critic would advance. Act as a decision scientist. For the choice “{insert decision},” enumerate mutually exclusive options. For each option, map a decision tree with key uncertainties and outcomes. Estimate probabilities, costs, and benefits; compute expected values and confidence ranges. Conclude with the dominant option, critical variables (by EV sensitivity), and what evidence would most change the decision. Output: Options, Trees, EV Table, Sensitivity, Value of Information, Recommendation.
 
 4. Red Team Pre-Mortem 
Act as a red-team strategist. Assume the plan “{insert plan}” failed catastrophically in 12 months. List the top 10 plausible failure modes, early warning signals for each, severity/likelihood ratings, and concrete countermeasures. Conclude with a prioritized mitigation roadmap and a monitoring dashboard (leading indicators, thresholds, and actions).
 
 5. Causal Map and Intervention Points 
Act as a causal modeler. Build a cause-effect map for “{insert outcome to improve},” identifying upstream drivers, mediators, and feedback loops. Label each link with direction and plausible strength. Propose 5 leverage points where small interventions could yield outsized effects, including intervention design, measurement, risks, and fallback plans.

1. OODA Loop (John Boyd)
→ A loop to help you think fast and stay sharp.
Observe. Orient. Decide. Act. Repeat.

→ Break things down to raw truths and rebuild from scratch.

→ Switch between logic, emotion, and creativity instead of mixing them up.

Every year, people will become motivated to post on here. 
Often they'll see momentum fast. 

But then change happens...

A new format or algorithm change arrives
And often people aren't fast enough. 

They will continue to use the same techniques as before. 
And their results and motivation will start to diminish. 

But here's the brutal reality...

LinkedIn (like most social platforms) change ALL the time. 
To keep up you need to adapt fast and be very resilient.

1. Kill the ego 

- Understand that the algorithm doesn't care about you 
- The more sharable the content, the likely it is to perform

- Your content should always serve your audience 
- Think about the psychology of how your content stops the scroll

- Great creators adapt fast. So follow those who adjust at speed 
- If someone changes up, check it out and break down why

4. Experiment all the time

- Do not continue to use the same format if it doesn't work 
- Treat each post like an experiment and test different variables

The change this previous quarter has been huge.

(the lowest dip we've seen !) 

But fear not, there is still time to catch up. 

Don't guess your way to growth. 
Here's what's working in Q3 of 2025: 

The platform is changing: 

1. Median impressions are down 18% year over year
2. Normal creators are growing 20% slower since Q2
3. Suggested content is creating more space
4. Virality caps are creating space for niche content

What the top 1% do differently: 

1. Embrace different formats
2. Comment thoughtfully - 150+ meaningful conversations weekly
3. Stay consistent with quality (9/10 of views come from top 20% of posts)

THE Winning post formats (by reach multiple): 

1. Carousels (4.0x): Best results from story-driven education
2. Infographics (3.0x): Great for driving newsletter subs 
3. Motivational quotes (2.5x): Visuals need to be branded 
4. Personal Stories (2.3x): BTS pictures beat selfies 
5. Video (1.9x): great for building trust 
6. Text Only (1.0x): Must have 14+ paragraphs

Tactics to boost performance: 

1. Write conversationally: Shorter words perform 35% better
2. Structure matters: Less then 7 paragraphs = 74% performance drop
3. Length is your friend: 1.3k-3k character posts get 38% more reach. 
4. Post on the Weekend: Sunday posts see highest reach
5. Reach isn't killed by externa links: 3+ useful links get 236% more reach

It can be an insanely brutal process. 
But if you stick at it...

This happens too:

✅ You restart and apply the lessons to go again.
✅ You then double down on what works for you. 
✅ Then the growth starts happening.

So, today I'm a do it differently... 

I've grown from 5,000 to 153,371 followers in 2 years. 

And I've not really shared much about who I actually am. 

So here's my introduction. 
(without info about my job hehehe) 

I'm Josh. 
I live in London. 
I like silly lil tattoos.
I constsantly question myself.
I have a black cat called Lausse. 
I'm am 25 years young (26 soon oop).
I got a black belt in taekwondo at 14.  
I prefer 1 deep convo over 10 small talks. 
I love hearing and telling terrible dad jokes. 
I'm currently in my mid twenties running crisis. 
I did a degree in entrepreneurship and innovation. 
I have a mild obsession with Chess (yet I kinda suck) 
I was ranked 3rd in the UK at football freestyle at 17.
It's taken 2 years, but I feel surrounded by the best people.

So I think I'm about to do the most stupid thing I've done. 

And I'm really not ready for it... 

Running 10k every single day for 30 days.

Here's the story: 

A few days ago I was chatting to my good friend Angus Parker about my total running KM for the year. 
I had done just under 700km. 

(Not bad for something I've been doing just for my silly lil brain health) 

But something annoyed me... 

I was 300km off of a wonderfully round 1000km. 

I then thought "how hard could that be in one month?" 
After few quite delusional afterthoughts, I thought why not go for it. 

And so... December300 is born. 

10k a day, every single day, until the end of the month. 

Now I don't just want this to be a personal challenge for me. 

I want to invite anyone else who wants to do it with me!
