The old me would never have done what I did last week.


I spoke on a LinkedIn live event.
I recorded an audio version of my eBook.
And I finished filming my 3-part video series.

Do you know what they all have in common? I'm using my voice.

For someone who loves writing but struggles to speak publicly, that's huge.

I’ve always loved writing, but speaking? That’s a whole different story!

I'll admit, I still get shy, stumble over my words, and second-guess how I sound (even if I don't appear so...I've been told!).

But here’s what I’ve learned by going through this...your voice is one of the most powerful parts of your story.

People love hearing your tone, your energy, your laughter...they connect with that.

So this quarter, I decided to stop hiding behind my words and selfies.

And I'm practicing how to show up in audio and video...not perfectly, but authentically.

It has taken me months to get to this point, but I know if I can do it, so can you!

In case you need this reminder you've heard from me many times: clarity comes from doing, not waiting to feel ready.

When I first started sharing my story, I was nervous.

I kept thinking...

What if it just sounds weird?
What if people judge me? 
What if I say too much? 

It’s not easy putting parts of your life out there, especially online, where everyone seems so sure of themselves.

But the more I shared, the more I realized something important...

My story wasn’t just about me. It was about what it could mean for someone else.

According to the Content Marketing Institute, 92% of people prefer content that feels like a story.

For reasons you already know...stories connect us. 

They make us stop scrolling for a second and feel something.

So if you’ve been holding back because it feels too personal or too vulnerable...I get it.

But don’t underestimate how much your story might mean to someone who’s quietly going through the same thing.

When you start believing in it, the fear fades and sharing actually starts to feel exciting...just try it and see!

I'm super excited that to announce that I have recorded my first "episode" of my podcast!

I put episode in quotation marks because it's not technically an episode, but I really wanted to do an audio version of my popular ebook, Write Stories that Connect on LinkedIn.

I also wanted to set up my work flow for recording and uploading episodes on my soon-to-be weekly podcast...and I did! 

I'd say it took me less than 2 hours to set up and it was much easier than I thought it would be.
