There are so many things going on, day in and day out, that finding time to exercise or cook nutritious meals can feel like yet another hurdle to add to the lengthy list of daily objectives.

However, now more than ever, we are surrounded by research that highlights the importance of exercise and healthy eating and reminds us of the detrimental effects caused by sedentary living and constant exposure to stress.

We are also bombarded by a tidal wave of information. Some useful and some cleverly marketed to squeeze as much money out of the general public as possible. Unfortunately with the sheer volume of workouts, diets, supplements and health crazes, it is easy to understand why so many people give up on the whole thing.

When I left the Education system to work in the Health Industry, I wanted to continue working with children and so I created a Health and Fitness club for youngsters.

My 5 and a half years working at Eaton square school and the studying of Health and fitness for the past 3 years (officially) has provided me with a number of useful skills to intergrate into an enjoyable and beneficial extra curricular club.

My lessons are designed to introduce the children to Health and Fitness in an enjoyable way. We discuss, at an appropriate level, Exercise and Nutrition and include a number of key skills such as Problem Solving, Working in Teams, Using our Imagination, Exploring different types of Movement, Improving Confidence, Shapes and Patterns, Spacial Awareness and Physical Development.
