Studied tail walking in dolphins and other fish using a biomimetic robotic mechanism. Duties included creating physical models that can simulate the flapping motion in conjunction with mathematical models calculated by a post-doctoral student.

I like to build things with code.

Over the past few years, I have started a few companies with some great people in Detroit. Back in 2011, I co-founded UpTo and we raised our first round from Detroit Venture Partners. It didn't exactly become a raving success but we learned quite a bit. We then went on to launch the world's first stock market of things, StockX. Later in Q4 of 2016, I moved on to assist Sift in building out their platform as the CTO.
