Burnout isn’t always a breakdown 

Sometimes it happens in silence.

Put out fires no one saw coming.

Strategy positions you. Certifications validate you.

One builds visibility. The other builds credibility.

You need both - most IT pros over-invest in the latter.

Sounds positive. Often... it’s not.

Back in June, a lot of experienced IT professionals heard things like:

· “You’re on track, just keep doing what you’re doing.”

· “We really value you, but budgets are tight.”

· “Let’s look at this again in 6–12 months.”

Fast forward to December.

Same title. Same pay band. More responsibility.

If that’s you, it’s normal to wonder:

“Did I just waste another year waiting for something that was never really planned?”

On the surface, it’s praise. Underneath, it can mean:

“We’re comfortable leaving you where you are.”

You don’t need to be aggressive. But you do need to get specific next time:

· What exact outcomes are required for the next level?

· How will they measure you?

· What’s the realistic timeframe and process?

If your manager can’t answer those clearly, you don’t have a promotion plan. You have a holding pattern.

As you look back on this year, it’s worth asking: Did my mid-year review move me closer to promotion, or just keep me busy?

I'm a curious mind from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.

Intelligence, in all its forms — human, artificial, or collective — is my lifelong fascination. I’ve founded startups, led data-driven turnarounds across LATAM, and authored Homo Algorithmus (Amazon Best-Seller), a reflection on how algorithms reshape our humanity. As an experienced C-Level and professor of AI and Market Intelligence, I operate at the crossroads of strategy, technology, and ethics — turning data into decisions and curiosity into innovation.

Yet my diversity extends far beyond the professional realm. I’m a lifelong musician — a drummer since childhood and a viola caipira player — exploring how rhythm awakens creative neural paths. I’m also a motorcyclist who has traveled the world (Patagonia, Pirenees, China, South Africa, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Spain, France etc) experiencing scents, temperatures, and silences few have known. I speak several languages (including chinese Mandarim, as  I lived in BeiJing for three years) and practice sports like  kitesurf, because I believe every new movement, sound, or word expands the way I think.

These experiences built a mind that is analytical yet poetic, disciplined yet open — a learner who thrives in ambiguity and reinvention. They taught me that true intelligence is multisensory and multidimensional: it listens as much as it calculates.

I believe the future of AI depends on this kind of curiosity — the one that bridges logic and emotion, art and science, human and machine. My mission is to contribute to a world where intelligence, in all its forms, expands not only what we can do but who we can become.

O SILÊNCIO QUE FALTAVA!

Há algumas semanas, recebi a notícia de que um ex-funcionário — um rapaz novo, cheio de sonhos e saúde — tirou a própria vida.

Na hora, veio um nó na garganta. E junto com ele, uma lembrança: ele havia me mandado uma mensagem aqui no LinkedIn poucos dias antes.

Eu vi.

Mas deixei para responder depois.

Não era por descuido, nem por desinteresse.
Era só mais um daqueles dias em que a gente pensa: “depois eu vejo isso com calma.”

Só que o “depois” não chegou.

Desde então, tomei uma decisão simples, mas profunda:

ninguém que me envia uma mensagem fica sem resposta imediata mais. 

Pode ser um convite, um pedido de conselho, um spam ou só um “oi”. Respondo!

Porque do outro lado pode haver alguém precisando de uma palavra -  e eu não quero mais correr o risco de ser o silêncio que faltava.

Vivemos cercados de notificações, mensagens e pressa. Mas talvez o que mais estejamos precisando é de presença.

Responder é um ato pequeno. Mas às vezes, é o gesto que lembra alguém de que ele ainda está sendo visto.

Seria esse um sintoma que diferencial competitivo entre as BigTechs será "o quão humana ela é?" .

IA É ESPELHO! Essa é uma das provocações que eu faço no livro e falei na CNBC  

Mas não é um frase solta! Digo isso pois a base matemática dos modelos de LLM são preditivas, ou seja, Machine Learning Supervisionados que analisam padrões de dados rotulados do passado, para predizer o futuro. Os resultados, portanto, são reflexo das construções do homem do passado. 

A reflexão que fica é: E se Narciso achar feio o que é espelho?

A OpenAI altera sua estrutura societária, adota o modelo de corporação de benefício público e amplia a parceria estratégica com a Microsoft na corrida pela inteligência artificial geral.

Em 28 de outubro de 2025, a OpenAI concluiu uma grande reestruturação na sua história. A empresa, avaliada em US$ 500 bilhões, consolidou-se como a startup privada de maior valor histórico, superando a SpaceX, ao transformar-se em uma Corporações de Benefício Público (PBC). O movimento inaugura uma fase de expansão sustentada por aportes bilionários e pela corrida global rumo à Inteligência Artificial Geral (IAG).
