I learned the hard way that leading a team isn’t the same as building one.  

Most managers think their job is to keep people on track.  
To delegate.  
To review.  
To correct mistakes.  
But here’s what I realized after two decades of marketing leadership across real estate, F&B, hospitality, and retail.  

Managing people is about control.
