A blessing and a curse.

I’ll use it for good though.

2 years 3 months I have been a customer of Lemlist.

Whenever anyone asks about tools for outreach I will always suggest them.

Salesloft and Outreach are overpriced, have half the features.

Lemlist removes a bunch of friction from my outbound.

Before:
1.) Email tool
2.) LinkedIn tool
3.) Warmup tool
4.) Data tool
5.) Dialer

Email → LinkedIn → calls → follow-ups
All in one place.

Managers, you can track what works in a sequence so much easier. 
Reps, its all there for you.

Sales is already hard enough. Your tools shouldn’t make it harder.

Literally would recommend this everytime. 

I also haven’t met anyone who hates on them.

I know a lot of people who hate on the other two 😂

This was one of the best days of my life.

The day that I....

Truelly understood what an effective SDR & AE partnership looks like.

Most SDR/AE partnerships are broken.
- The AE treats the SDR like an assistant.
- The SDR books shitty meetings just to hit their number.
- Communication between the two? Non existent.

This is how people lose their jobs. This is how close rates drop below 15%. This is how companies go to die.

The fix is simpler than you think.
1.) Get your SDR and AE on the same page for qualification. The AE wants strict. The SDR wants loose. Find the middle ground. Get agreement from both sides.

2.) When the SDR qualifies and hands over, the notes need to be in a format the AE can review quickly before the meeting.

3.) During the meeting, the AE recaps what the SDR found. "I've got my notes from [SDR name], let me just run through these to check nothings changed since you last spoke."

This does two things:
The prospect feels heard. They are not repeating themselves again.
And it shows the impact the SDR is having on the deal.

This process alone will double your close rate.

I mean, look at me and David.

Do links in posts effect the reach of the post? 

No

I've been testing this since the start of the year and have seen no change in engagement, impressions, saves, profile views etc. 

Linkedin now tracks the number of clicks on a link in a post which is incredibly useful. 

More links in posts please.

We have seen an uptick in leads since we have been doing this more. This means we can actually attribute leads to linkedin, VS guessing a % of people who type in Prospeo.io into google.

Please stop sending me memes about the Canadian curling scandal 🥌😭

I’m saying that as someone who has laughed at every single one of them.

Because yes, the internet turning "the touch" into a full-blown meme template is objectively hilarious. I’ve seen the edits, the recreated photos, and even received videos from co-workers, AHEM Matthew Putnam. It’s been nonstop.

But curling is also weirdly personal to me.

I grew up around it. My dad was into curling. My mom curled. My grandparents curled. My sister and I curled. It’s been in the family forever, and my parents still travel when they can to watch matches in person.

Curling is one of those sports that looks like a joke until you actually try it and understand the culture behind it. You soon realize it’s built on trust.

That’s why this moment sucked to watch.

If you missed it, Canada’s Marc Kennedy got accused by Sweden of touching the rock during delivery, then denied it, and the whole thing escalated into an on-ice argument with swearing that you basically never see in curling. 

Even World Curling had to put out a clarification reminding everyone that touching the rock during forward motion is not allowed, and the stone should come out of play. The rules part is one thing. The disrespect is what made my stomach drop.

Curling’s whole identity is "spirit of the game." You’re supposed to win without being a dickhead about it, and if you mess up, you own it. It’s the handshake line sport.

So yeah, I’ve enjoyed the memes, but I’m also disappointed.

Not because I think Canada is forever stained, but because this is the Olympics. The whole world is watching, most people only see curling once every four years, and this is not the first impression we want to leave.

Anyway, keep the memes coming.
