I build partnerships that stand up to scrutiny and scale—and I push them into new territory.

My work sits at the intersection of national civic engagement and strategic partnerships. Across the UK I convene councils, civic societies and faith-led organisations to co-design funds, strengthen governance and turn lived experience into investable programmes. In the INGO space I lead corporate partnerships and sponsor-ready initiatives, bringing the operating discipline—OKRs, impact dashboards, ethics in sponsorship—that gives brands and public bodies the confidence to back bold ideas.

I’m known for policy → delivery → proof: clear compacts, open KPIs and outcomes you can publish. From mosque boards and city forums to brand teams and ministries, I align incentives and get coalitions working in the real world. Internationally, I advise on sport-led social outcomes and build Saudi–UK collaboration across culture,religion and community.

I also work on philanthropy and social good: designing grantmaking frameworks, corporate giving and diaspora-led funds that move money responsibly and transparently—so generosity becomes measurable impact.

Last night I had the honour of attending the Eid Reception at 10 Downing Street, hosted by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect walking through that door. Though I will say Larry the Cat was there to greet me at the entrance. Apparently he vets all guests before the guards do.

The room brought together leaders, community voices and changemakers from right across the country. Being in the same space as the Prime Minister, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood MP , Health Secretary Wes Streeting, Faith Minister Miatta Fahnbulleh, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Home Office Minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls Jess  Phillips, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Lucy Powell and so many others felt significant.

The Prime Minister’s message centred on acceptance, unity and the strength that comes from our diversity. And given everything we’ve seen in this country over the past few years, from the riots to the rising hate crime figures to the debates about who belongs here and who doesn’t, hearing that message from the highest office in the land genuinely meant something.

I’ve spent years working across the Muslim third sector trying to build bridges, create space for communities and contribute to a more cohesive Britain. Moments like last night remind me why that work matters and why it’s worth continuing.

We launched Aruuri last week. A community fund pooling small monthly contributions to support vetted, locally led projects across the Horn of Africa.
In just a few days we are already closing in on our first 1,000 dollars in the fund.

The most blessed endeavours often start small, but what has surprised me is how quickly people have moved from “this is a nice idea” to “here is how we can build on this together.”

Since launch, donors have been referring projects and frontline partners they trust. Remittance leaders are exploring how Aruuri can sit alongside their rails, testing ways we can plug into existing customer journeys and build on the momentum we are seeing. East African organisations are reaching out with ideas for missions, co-funding and long-term collaboration. It feels less like a product launch and more like tapping into an energy that was already there.

At its core Aruuri is simple: turn fragmented remittances and one-off donations into pooled, long-term capital for healthcare, education and livelihoods projects that communities themselves have a stake in. Give contributors a live window into what is being funded, what impact it is having, and what is still waiting in the pipeline.

We are still early, and we are learning a lot every day, but the response so far has been a strong signal that there is real demand for transparent, community-owned infrastructure that can sit between the diaspora, remittance flows and frontline organisations. We are grateful for the trust people have already shown and excited to share what comes next.

1. Save good hooks on TikTok, YouTube, X etc 
2. Use Claude to download vids
3. Analyse transcript + frames 
4. Create hook database

→ Posts new video links to a Slack channel with direct video links 

→ Lets you give feedback, use as inspo for other partners, share on socials + avoid manually searching videos by partners

Now when an affiliate drops a new video, my team sees it in a Slack channel before I even open my laptop.
