When a startup beverage company approached us, their CEO was making pricing decisions based on incomplete data. With direct-to-consumer sales tracked in one system, B2B transactions in another, and COGS calculations spread across multiple sources, they were essentially flying blind on profitability.

**Untangling Global Data for a $4B Consumer Healthcare Carve-Out**

When a global consumer healthcare company was carved out of its parent FMCG into private equity ownership, they faced what their transformation leader called "a data spaghetti nightmare."

With 4,000+ products across multiple continents, seven different ERPs, and separate reporting systems for US and rest-of-world, their executive team couldn't answer basic questions like "who are our top 20 global customers?" or "what's our daily sales performance?"

As part of a wider transformation my team and I designed and implemented an integrated data ecosystem that:

- Connected previously siloed ERP, procurement and product management systems across regions
- Enabled global customer and supplier visibility for the first time
- Transformed reporting from monthly to daily (and even intraday) updates
- Powered accurate sales and operational planning across regions
- Fed clean, consistent data into finance for FP&A and consolidation

The transformation wasn't just technical - we established strong data governance that enabled the client team to continuously improve data quality after our engagement ended.

The streamlined data pipelines integrating global data helped the client get ready for the next step in the private equity process including IPO.

* Served as Deloitte Global lead for Information Delivery & Automation, reporting to Deloitte’s global Analytics leader, supporting global strategy, fostering connections, enhancing capabilities, and building relationships with major vendors such as Snowflake, Google, and Informatica
