Most people in the UK will never hear the conversations I heard this week.

They’re too busy arguing about council tax while Dubai is discussing how to build companies worth nine figures.

Today hits different.

Both of my grandads fought in the war.

 One of them was a bomber pilot.

 He flew missions over Europe, and on one flight, his plane was hit so badly it was almost torn apart.

 Engines failing. Metal shredded. Crew terrified.

 But he still managed to get everyone home alive.

I’ve heard that story since I was a kid, but it only really hit me as I got older what it meant, what it took.

Discipline. Courage. Duty.

 The kind of values we talk about now, but few truly live.

When I look at the life I get to live, the freedom to build, create, travel and grow, 

I realise it’s because men like them faced fear most of us can’t even imagine.

 They didn’t complain.

 They didn’t quit.

 They just did what needed to be done.... They didnt care about their "feelings"

Remembrance Day isn’t just about silence.

 It’s about perspective.

 It’s remembering that the comfort we live in today was built by people who risked everything and expected nothing in return.

Both of my grandads came home changed forever, but they came home.

 And thats why I’ll always be grateful.

Lest we forget.

Sales is a lot like poker.

You don’t play your hand, you play the man in front of you.

You don’t sell the product, you sell the prospect.

Most people think sales is about scripts, tactics, or clever closes.

It’s not.

It’s about psychology.
It’s about understanding why someone wants to change  not just what they say they want.

If you can learn someone’s why, you can sell them almost any how.

I’ve watched average closers become elite overnight the moment they stop trying to sound smart and start actually listening.

The best salespeople don’t convince.

They connect.

Because when you understand what’s driving someone, you don’t need to push.

You just show them the path they’ve already decided to walk.

Most coaches aren’t stuck because they lack talent.
They’re stuck because they don’t know what they don’t know.

I spoke at two events this week.

One full of coaches.
One full of CEOs.

Different industries.

Same problem.

People think they’re operating at a high level.

They’re guessing.
And guesswork is expensive.

The ones who scale fast have three traits:

It’s where I remind myself what really matters.
Not just revenue, but peace and purpose.

The smartest thing I do each day isn’t business.
It’s sitting quietly with a pen and my thoughts.

Most coaches fail because they don’t know how to outgrow the identity that’s holding them back.

I had to face that version of myself years ago.

When I worked as an estate agent in my twenties, I remember coming home from the gym one night and applying for a random online coaching job.
No plan.

No strategy.

Just a feeling that I was meant for more than sitting in a fluorescent office listening to someone else tell me what my ceiling was.

The next morning my area manager called me and told me I had to come back in.

That call flipped a switch.

Something snapped in my chest.

I realised I had been living my life on someone else’s terms.

Waiting for permission.

Playing small to keep the peace.

Nodding along to people who didn’t even live the kind of life I wanted.

That moment is the reason everything exists today.
