As a creative and innovative Application Engineer, I am responsible for solving customers’ problems by analyzing their needs and requirements and suggesting relevant solutions. I have to be an innovator and problem solver to be able to work as an Applications engineer. I have to support sales account managers, by maintaining and servicing specific customer accounts and responding to requests for quotations and proposals. I am responsible for calculating every single cost that goes into the project and I propose a final budget for the project. I serve as primary point of contact for the prospect/lead till we get the purchase order (PO).

-Travel to customer locations to gather information for preparing concept layout and hence preparing quotes and estimates. 

-Created/Designed preliminary concepts for customer quoting purposes and prepare cycle time chart for processes

-Liaison between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and assembly manufacturing groups for technical assistance in developing concepts and processes and provide assistance in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements

-Liaison with suppliers to obtain estimates of major material and equipment costs required for the preparation of budgets and proposals

-Wrote technical specifications/proposal documents along with quoting electrical and controls side of machine

-Identified technical risks and its impact on the project (lead times, budgeting, etc. issues) and mitigate the technical risks
