Das neue Playbook „𝗪𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲" des Bundesverband Marketing Clubs bringt Klarheit in eine zentrale Blindheit deutscher Vorstände: 

Marken machen im Schnitt 𝟰𝟵% 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀 aus – bei B2C sogar 𝟲𝟰%, Lebensmittelbranche 𝟵𝟮%.

Starke Marken liefern messbare Überlegenheit: Seit 2006 erzielen Kantar BrandZ-Topmarken 𝟰𝟯𝟱% 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲 und erholten sich in der Pandemie 𝟮,𝟮-𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 als der MSCI World.

Doch Deutschland hinkt hinterher. 
Während zwei Drittel der Fortune-500-Unternehmen Marketing auf C-Level haben, sind es bei uns nur 𝟮𝟱% der DAX-40-Vorstände – und lediglich 
𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘁 mit reiner CMO-Rolle. 

Dabei kann die Ernennung eines CMOs den Börsenwert positiv beeinflussen: Unternehmen mit klarer Kunden-/Wachstumsrolle erzielen laut McKinsey 𝗯𝗶𝘀 𝘇𝘂 𝟮,𝟯-𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗵𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗺.

die als 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 profitables Wachstum steuern, 
als 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘵 Daten in neue Geschäftsmodelle ummünzen, 
als 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳 Kompetenzen aufbauen und 
als 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳 die Marke ganzheitlich über alle Touchpoints entwickeln – inklusive Employer Branding. 

Die Zahlen sprechen für sich: 
𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗻-𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘇: Die Top-40 Marken übertrafen den MSCI World 2023 um rund 132 Prozent. Langfristig liegen sie seit 2006 um 154% vor dem Index. 
𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: Starke Arbeitgebermarken steigern qualifizierte Bewerbungen um 50%, halbieren Einstellungskosten und senken die Fluktuation um 28%. 
𝗞𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁: Markenprodukte kosten in DE im Schnitt 51% mehr als Handelsmarken. Trotzdem bevorzugen 50% der Gen Z und Millennials die Marke gegenüber dem günstigeren Preis. Für sie sind Marken Orientierungshilfen in einer komplexen Konsumwelt.

Es sind die starken Einzelmarken, die Deutschlands globales Ansehen formen. Wenn Telekom, SAP oder Siemens als Innovationsführer positioniert sind, entsteht automatisch ein neues Narrativ für den Standort. BVMC-Präsident Montanini sagt es klar: „Unser Land hat kein Imageproblem, sondern ein noch nicht artikuliertes Narrativ. 'Made in Germany' stand jahrzehntelang für Qualität und Verlässlichkeit – das reicht nicht mehr."

Ohne strategische CMOs im Board verpufft dieses Potenzial.
