Anthropic is a patriotic company. They've been serving the armed forces for years. But they have a BACKBONE - they will not use their intelligence for domestic surveillance on US citizens, and they will not create autonomous murder machines.

These are fundamental boundaries of a pro-human future.
And because of that backbone, they're getting exiled.

Within hours, OpenAI swooped in and accepted. No questions asked.

This isn't right. 

AI is moving faster than ever, and we need ethics-driven people at the table.

As a man in tech, you walk into an AI event that's 80% men.
You don't think twice. I didn't either.

My first AI meetup - looked around the room, barely any women, didn't even register. That's the problem.

22% of AI talent are women, and only 12% of AI researchers globally.

Men navigate this industry effortlessly. We don't even notice the rooms we're in.

Here's what we don't say out loud: men control the rooms.

We curated them this way. The invite lists, the speaker lineups, the default networks - that was us. And if we built it, we can fix it.

The responsibility sits with us, it's on our shoulders. 

So here's an idea every event organizer should try: 
A strict 1:1 ratio. Women to men. No exceptions.

→ Want to add people? Invite women first. 
→ Can't find enough women? Your network is the problem. 
→ Hit your cap? Good. That discomfort is the point.

A structural rule that forces better rooms.

Here's what could happen: 
→ Conversations get sharper 
→ Perspectives multiply 
→ The energy shifts 
→ People actually come back

My role is complex but not uncommon. I leverage my experience of digitising legacy processes and my ability to keep up with the latest technical trends to simplify solutions. 

My journey at Tune Protect started in Demand Management. The role was heavily reliant on operational skill sets and expected technical expertise on dealing with change requests and project delivery methodologies. 

I introduced daily scrums into the delivery teams by coaching organisational members on agile. 

I put into place, approval process and digital capture methods to speed up the current back and forth processes to obtain sign offs. 

I managed approval process for all change requests on every core system and subsidiary support functions. 

I created a transparent feedback culture within the legacy support teams and I bridged the gap between business entities and group IT functions. 

I hosted and ran monthly compliance and regulatory steering committees with the current ExCom. 

I did the Opex and Capex budgeting for the Malaysian IT function. 

I spearheaded technical initiative to introduce new technologies/frameworks into the organisation such as NextJs, ReactJs and assisted with FlutterFlow builds. 

The above mentioned was a very people heavy, stakeholder emphasised role which was both non technical and very hands on technical. 
I did gain experience in organisational management dealings from a hands off approach and using this, I transitioned into a specialist role doing a combination of both development and organisational management.
