AI transformation is in every board meeting's agenda. Yet most initiatives will fall short. Here's why:

Most companies have started initiatives to transform with AI this year. 

They're picking between ChatGPT Enterprise and Claude for Teams. 
They're running workshops on prompting. 
They're setting up AI councils to "figure out strategy."

Most of it is going to fail. 

It won't build the necessary momentum.

The reason: AI transformation requires six interconnected dimensions moving together:

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲: How you respond to AI's business implications (market shifts, product opportunities, operational redesign)

𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: The behaviors that define whether people experiment or wait for permission

𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞: Building skills, allowing experimentation, rethinking roles as AI becomes part of every job

Community Building: From a starting point of 50 users, I've built and fostered a community of nearly 1,000 active members on our Discord server. This involved creating user personas, an application process, and an onboarding sequence.

Content Creation: Created and managed content across multiple platforms including YouTube and LinkedIn, resulting in significant increase in viewership and engagement.

Partnerships & Collaborations: Developed a partnership program with defined benefits and tiers, attracting 18 partners. Additionally, collaborated with external agencies to offer educational bootcamps for our members.

Leadership & Team Management: Onboarded and managed an assistant, which significantly developed my leadership and people management skills.

My role extends beyond these tasks as I constantly strive to bring value to our community members, exploring new ways to foster collaboration, drive engagement, and promote the shared learning experience.

For those of you who don't know, Dom is a no-code educator, social entrepreneur, and an amazing educational content creator.
He's worked at the intersection of culture and technology for years; from founding incredible initiatives like 'Missing Black People' to teaching no-code in universities and helping thousands of people turn ideas into real products without needing to write complex code.
He's one of those rare educators who makes things feel simple, accessible, and genuinely empowering.

I just had the most amazing weekend recharging my batteries after Event Tech Live - (I followed your advice, Valentina!) 

During our panel, we dove into all things:

▫️Engagement, retention, activation, revenue
▫️The reality of running community AND events
▫️Mental health

I'll be honest - I always feel a little anxious before going on stage.
But all it takes is four incredible community pros jamming together…

It's so refreshing to talk to people who get you. 
Emile van Zyl and I just had a great chat about all things community and building professional communities for companies on Discord. 

We talk to thousands of people every day, we move so many pieces internally, we build trust and relationships, we push the cart whilst elevating others. 

Yet our jobs can make us feel so lonely and invisible at times. 

We know what we do and why we do it, we just constantly need to learn on how to improve the story we tell.

Working remotely sometimes makes you forget how powerful human connection really is.

Today I headed down to the Zapier stand as SaaStr.ai London event, spending some time with the brilliant Claudia Cafeo 🏳️‍🌈, Kelly Goss, Dominic O Norton LTD  and of course, some present and future Zapier customers.

As CX leaders, it can be easy to move further away from direct customer communication, outside of escalation calls. Our day is filled with other tasks, priorities, and challenges. But (and it’s a huge but), being able to explore use cases, unlock customers, and discover new potential opportunities in real time is such a privilege that is real easy to forget.

If you want to be a better CX leader…

🗣️ Talk to your customers directly. 

❗️ Understand what’s important to them.

🤝 Demostrate that you are real, and you really do care.

These seemingly small things that get pushed down your priority list is what got you to where you are today. Don’t lose sight of it.
