In another life, I was a tattoo artist. Tattoos were fine.

Tattoos weren't a problem to build a 7-figure growth hacking agency.
Tattoos fit the hacker in the mind of people.

Yet, since I started work in the silver economy and especially in health care...

I see the looks.
I sometimes have comments.
I understand them.

Am I a smarter, better or more capable person without tattoos? 
Certainly not.

Is it fair? 
Not really.

Yet, when you work with humans, you have to understand the social rules of humans.

And humans associate tattoos with a lack a seriousness, reliability.

I don't blame them, the human brain work by association.

Now, I can spend my life complain about it...

Or I can decide that what I want to achieve here is bigger than being right...

So I decided.

Nothing will prevent me from getting where I want to get.

When you think something isn't fair in business...

Remember that, no one cares about your emotions.

😳 I realized: working on a billion dollar idea is easier than working on a reasonable business. 👇

I always meet entrepreneurs who "work on that easy things first and then will work on something big".

But smaller things things aren't easier. 

$100K or $1M projects are as hard to execute as the big thing that excites you...

When I started a business, I also had the same process: 

- Finding something I could do 
- Finding something that had minimum uncertainty
- Finding something that can make profit fast

Whenever an idea seemed too ambitious, no matter how exciting... It just felt too had to pull off.

But the truth is, you have 24h...

No matter if you want to launch a logo design agency or rocket in orbit... You will be working the same amount of time.

When you work on an ambitious project... You don't work alone.

Your work isn't harder, it is different.

In an ambitious project you become the orchestrator rather than the sole operator.

You don't need to de the best at everything and do everything yourself.

With an ambitious project it is: 

- Easier to start conversations with people
- Easier to find motivation and passion
- Easier to attract brilliant people
- Easier to find clarity

People are happy to bet on extraordinary ambition. Investors, employees, advisors,...

And this put you in a role where vision and clarity are the most important skills and where brilliant minds back you up on the challenges.

You go from putting off fires, to build and think. You gain time to work on things that matter for the big picture.

😳 People who build big things are either in pain or crazy (or both).

Building is lonely. Very lonely.

The ambition is the sublimation of the internal struggle... You can't be normal and accept to endure what is required.

For me...

When I was younger, I felt small...

And becoming strong became an obsession: 

- I worked out hard at the gym to be strong
- I trained boxing to be powerful
- I worked hard to be financially capable

And before I knew this quest became part of my identity... 

Until I became borderline egomaniac (Yes, I will admit that).

Until I couldn't live a life without disproportionate goals without feeling a dissonance with my core identity...

Sometimes, I see people talking about entrepreneurship like it is made of cotton candy...

They are upset that it isn't more inclusive toward people who are less obsessed...

But capitalism is pure pragmatism...

- It knows no sympathy
- It knows no "yes, but"
- It knows no excuses

It only knows output and competition.

And when you play the output game, you compete with people who throw their entire life in the game like their survival depends on it, because it might.

Just a Sunday thought.

😳 As a drop-out, I wanted to do medicine. I got books, got my high-school diploma... and the university rejected me... But

But here is why you should NEVER take "no" for an answer. 
(Except in dating, because then you are a creep)

At first I was devastated...

I have worked so hard alongside my job... 
I was the only self-applicant to get the honors in France that year....

It didn't matter.
So I spent years doing "what I could do"...

Then I discovered that, with determination and YouTube, there is no limit to "what one can do"...

So I started my entrepreneurial journey.

Later I discovered Andrew Huberman's channel, I realized that my passion was still there... 

Plus, when you can remember terms like "suprachiasmatic nucleus"... Get outta here!! I deserve to be a doc' too, just for that! 

This reignited the flame of a calling.

I then decided to learn about neuroscience by myself
- listening to content
- reading online material
- reading scientific papers

And I launched Amigo | AI Memory Care

There I had the chance to talk with inspiring doctors (hello Audrey GABELLE) and above all, not sound like an idiot when talking with them.

Since you got only one life, feeling sorry for yourself is a disservice to yourself... Even if you are right. No one cares.

If you want something more than anything else... the ground is the lowest place you can start... 

So even if you are thrown there: you stand, you fight, you climb...

Won't be easy...

But nothing worth it is easy.

And if you are just obsessed enough... You might make it.

The "Hustle VS Work-Life Balance" debate is trending again lately. The Pro-Work-Life Balance just forget a detail 👇

The human nature doesn't thrive in comfort. 
It thrives in transcendence.

People are unhappy because they evaluate their level of achievement in comparison to others'...

And as supported by the first law of thermodynamics...
When you want more, you need to input more...

And as all of us put more... 
The requirement to achieve baseline and then exception raises.

Actually you are not required to participate. 
The hustle culture game is not mandatory...

The problem is, you can't expect to achieve as much or more than the people who play this game and refuse to put the same intensity.

Because their achievement is the direct consequence of their intensity.

Now the question:

Is it necessary?

It is not. You can just live a more relaxed life. And it is ok. It is probably healthier in many ways.

You just can't live the chill life and expect the high achievement outputs.

Maths are just not mathing.

Your problem is not the hustle culture... It is your instinct of comparison and your need to be exceptional. 

The hustle culture isn't your problem.
You is your problem.

Stop comparing. Just do you.

Many founders confuse marketing strategy with tactics:

- They think "running ads" is a strategy;
- They think "posting daily" is a strategy;
- They think "doing webinars" is a strategy.

Because of this confusion, they don't have a high level plan.

- Who are we helping;
- For what problem;
- How we solve it differently;
- And what do we say.

As a result, they lack focus and direction.

- "Let's try this new channel!"
- "I read about a new automation hack!"

And it puts the business into a reactive posture:

No clear direction → Something external happens → We react to it → We try a new tactic → Intensify the lack of direction

To get out of this reactive marketing loop, you need to:

Distinguish strategy from tactics.

1. Strategy comes first: It's the high-level plan that guides how to achieve revenue goals.

2. Tactics come second: It's the specific actions and methods used to execute the strategy.

And don't forget the feedback loop between them.

Me: "It could come from those 4 problems:"

1. Indeed, it could be a copywriting issue.

2. But it might be because of an unclear messaging;

Now to be honest, it's rarely only a copywriting issue.

1. I use the 'extend' repurposing process (while everyone else is using the 'cut' process).

2. One winning insight becomes 1 carrousel, 1 infographic, 1 newsletter, 1 blog article, 1 video, 5 short videos, and then 5 posts again. (1 = 15 rule)

3. I created a library of visual assets.

4. I have predetermined outlines to repurpose faster (example: it takes me only 30 minutes to turn a carrousel into an infographic)

5. When I create a content plan for my clients, I plan the repurposing system before the content creation (this changes everything).

6. I built a feedback loop system relying on social listening, polls, and keywords analysis. So the ideation process is smooth.

7. I developed a 'master content' process that allows you to run a 3-month marketing campaign from 1 central piece of content.
