This week felt like watching the training wheels come off. 🚴🏻‍♀️

For a long while now, legal AI has been about experimentation and pilot programs. What I’m seeing shift is that AI companies are truly building for how legal work actually gets done, not just what sounds impressive in a demo.

The tools aren't just getting better, they're getting easier to deploy. Funding is happening left and right. And agentic AI? It's about to be everywhere.

Five main things caught my attention:

💰 GC AI raised a $60M Series B round. I'm proud to have been involved in their early growth as the Founding Marketer. Looking forward to seeing them continue to scale!

🤑 Clio raised $500M (largest legal tech round ever!) following its $1B vLex acquisition. Institutional investors are betting that AI-powered legal operations are the future.

🔍 OmniLex raised $4.5M for improved legal research and NLPatent secured $3M for agentic patent workflows.

⚙️ Alexi launched 74+ pre-built AI automations for contract review, due diligence, discovery, and risk assessments. Ready day one.

🤖 Thomson Reuters unveiled agentic workflows in CoCounsel that independently execute multi-step tasks and handle bulk review of up to 10,000 documents (minimal human intervention required).

You know what people often say when we run together? “You’re so fast.”


I usually smile. 

Because for me, it’s not about being fast. 

It’s about consistency, balance, and taking care of your body so you can keep running.

Sure, you’ve got to log the miles. 

That’s where endurance and grit are built.

But strength training is what keeps me strong enough to enjoy those miles, and avoid the injuries that used to slow me down.

Research shows runners who lift can improve running efficiency by up to 8%, using less energy at the same pace.

And a stronger core helps with posture, stride, and stamina, especially late in the run. 

So no, I’m not “just fast.”

I’m strong, steady, and learning to train smarter, not harder.

Some traps don’t look like danger, they look like opportunity. 

Welcome to Week 7 of our 31 Weeks of Proverbs series.

This week, Proverbs 7:2 stood out to me:

“Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.”

Proverbs 7 tells the story of someone who walks right into temptation, not because he wanted to fail, but because he didn’t see the danger early enough.

In business and leadership, the same thing happens when we chase quick wins, ignore our instincts, or justify small compromises.

Jesus said it best in Matthew 26:41:

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Guardrails protect purpose.

Build them before you need them.

I’ve been posting on YouTube since 2023.

For almost three years, my channel quietly chugged along .

Moderate views.

Slow growth

Nothing game-changing.

Then a few months ago, I went all-in on YouTube Shorts.

Since them:

My monthly views jumped more than 500%
  
Shorts now drive the majority of my discovery traffic

Not because I suddenly became a better editor.

Not because I changed my niche.

And definitely not because I cracked some secret algorithm code.

It happened because Shorts finally did what my long-form videos couldn’t do alone:

👉 They created discovery.

👉 They pulled new audiences in.

👉 They gave my long-form content a second life.

This is the same message I share in a Stamats Insights article:

Long-form video is incredibly valuable.

TikTok and YouTube Shorts are now key discovery channels for Gen Z and Gen Alpha.

One unexpected clip can outperform your polished hero film.

My own channel proved it:

The moment I started slicing long-form content into short vertical clips, everything shifted.

Long-form builds depth.

Short-form builds reach.

The two together build momentum.
