As Event Officer I assist in the facilitation and delivery of the logistical and safety arrangements of all major events held on outdoor council land including the Seafront and Waterfront event space. 

I am a first point of contact for members of the community who wish to request permission to organise an event on Bournemouth land. Working closely with organisers and relevant departments of Bournemouth Council, I monitor progress and ensure all parties are satisfied in order to deliver successful events which promote the area of Bournemouth. 

Responsibilities include: 
• Arranging and undertaking site visits with event organisers and members of Bournemouth council.
• Arranging and taking an active role in the Safety Advisory Group.
• Assisting and playing a key role in the organisation of Bournemouth Tourism's major events, such as the Bournemouth Air Festival - the largest free event in Europe.
• Management of Bandstand bookings, dealing with queries, liaising with bands and processing invoices.
• Assisting with bookings for the Waterfront events space.
• Work on the promotion of sales space for the Air Festival and Wheels Festival.
• Dealing with traders and contractors in the lead up, during set up and at the event.

Events Officer

As Event Support Assistant I fulfil various tasks in order to support the event team. 
Currently I am accountable for processing event applications as well as overseeing the organisation of minor events throughout Bournemouth. Liaising with potential clients and third parties to discuss feasibility and event planning. Taking on a variety of tasks from conception to clean up of major events or festivals such as the Bournemouth Air Festival and the Gardens of Light.

Contacting customers on behalf of companies such as Peugeot, Citroen and British Gas. I went on to become part of a senior team commissioned by Police Forces across England, to contact victims of crime and conduct surveys based on their experience when being dealt with by the Police.
