I've noticed a pattern of why most Entrepreneurs can't lose weight in a sustainable way and I've distilled it down to 3 forces:

Force #1. Cookie cutter plans - You follow someone else's plan or diet and hope to expect the same result.

What you actually need is a plan customized to your body and personal lifestyle.

Force #2. Systems — No systems in place to make getting in shape easier.

A good business runs on systems. The same goes for your body.

Without systems you're gambling on success worse than a drunken bet at a Vegas craps table. 

The process of getting your body back into shape is very much about automating the habits needed to get your body lean & energetic.

No systems = having to think about your diet and workouts all the time.

This results in your spinning your wheels getting frustrated with the process and eventually giving up.

Force #3. Too much focus on losing weight. Not enough on sustainability

What's the point of losing 20 lbs in 6 weeks if you just put it back on?

The goal is to never worry or think about having an unhealthy body for the rest of your life.

But you can't be doing that if you're just thinking about doing things only to lose weight and not enough on your lifestyle.

Most entrepreneurs do unsustainable things to lose a couple pounds on the scale only to be disappointed when they're back where they started.

This results in a yo yo cycle of weight loss and weight gain until they give up.

The US Government came out with the new food pyramid and it's 100x better than the old one. Here's why:

The old pyramid told us to load up on bread, pasta, and cereal. It put fats at the tiny tip like they were poison.

Result? Obesity epidemic. Diabetes rates are through the roof. 77% of military-aged youth can't qualify for service.

The new pyramid finally gets it right:

• Prioritizes protein at every meal (1.2-1.6g per kg bodyweight)
• Full-fat dairy is back. Whole milk. 
• Minimizes ultraprocessed foods
• Whole grains stay, but in the smallest portion
• Zero added sugar recommended for kids under 4

The core message is three words: Eat real food.

Not complicated macros. Not trendy diets. Real food.

Meat. Eggs. Vegetables. Fruits. Nuts. Olive oil.

Took me 20 years to discover 8 walking cheat codes that burn fat while you work.

1. Japanese intervals taught me to alternate speeds. 
2. Incline walking doubled my calorie burn. 
3. My weighted vest made every step count. 
4. Post-workout walks accelerated recovery. 
5. After-meal strolls killed blood sugar spikes.

8 walking cheat codes I know at 46 that I wish I knew at 26

The most underrated longevity test is holding this position for 2 minutes or longer. 

Here's why:

The Asian squat isn't just an exercise. It's a diagnostic tool.

Can't hold it for 2 minutes? Your body is failing the most basic human movement pattern.

Your hips don't lie. And they're screaming that you can't squat anymore.

8 hours at a desk. Hip flexors locked. Ankles frozen. Lower back compensating for everything.

Then you wonder why getting off the toilet at 50 feels like an Olympic event.

Here's what desk life stole from you:

• Hip mobility (goodbye golf swing)
• Ankle flexibility (hello knee pain)
• Core stability (welcome back problems)
• Natural posture (enter forward head)

My 78-year-old father can Asian squat for 10 minutes. Most 35-year-old CEOs can't do 30 seconds.

The difference? He never stopped moving like a human.

The 2-minute test:
1. Feet shoulder-width apart
2. Squat all the way down
3. Heels flat on the ground
4. Back straight
5. Hold for 2 minutes

Can't do it? You're not aging. You're decaying.

My client James couldn't squat past 90 degrees. Three months of daily Asian squats:
- Back pain: gone
- Golf drive: +30 yards
- Energy: through the roof
- Getting out of cars: no longer an event

An estimated 60–85% of people in the world and nearly two-thirds of children lead sedentary lifestyles. 
 
Researchers found that one of the best ways to counteract this is to have a snack. 
 
Specifically, you want to have an exercise snack. 
 
They found that a 5-minute walk every 30 minutes could offset the effects of prolonged sitting. 
 
This can also be done in other ways, like: 
 
1. Parking farther away from your destination. 
2. Taking the stairs over elevators or escalators. 
3. Getting a walking treadmill for your desk. 
 
Sometimes, the idea of taking an hour to be active can be daunting for some people. 
 
Try getting little "exercise snacks" throughout the day.
