Looking back, last year was... a challenge 🥊. It was a year of high demands but slow results - the kind of grind where you’re working double-time just to keep the momentum, we have changed things now, thankfully. 2026 feels completely different. It feels like we finally have the wind in our sails. 🚢

1️⃣ Shelf-Ready Packaging (SRPs) - we’re looking to bring in some good suppliers who can handle SRPs. If you’ve worked with someone great or have contacts that do standout work in this space, I’d love to hear about them.

2️⃣ Gift Boxes - we want to create a small batch of branded gift boxes to support our launch campaigns and get product into people’s hands properly when new flavours and products launch. Small runs of boxes, not a huge quantity.

📸 A great end to the week — seeing our community in action!

We’ve absolutely loved receiving imagery this week from customers sharing how they’re using KUDU Nutrition collagen sachets in real life - whether that’s a quick boost on-the-go, in a favourite snack, or as part of a healthy routine. Seeing real people integrate what we create into their everyday lives is genuinely one of the most rewarding parts of what we do 📷.

And today there’s timely scientific backing to this growing interest… according to a new review featured on BBC, daily collagen supplementation has been linked to improved skin elasticity and hydration, as well as support for joint comfort and connective-tissue health when taken consistently over time. It isn’t positioned as a quick fix, but the findings continue to build a credible narrative around collagen’s role in holistic wellbeing.  

This isn’t just something we’re claiming here - real people are noticing benefits, science is unpacking why it matters, and the conversation around collagen continues to grow.

Three and a half years ago, Sam Harney  and I had an idea.

It looked simple on paper. Build a product that wasn’t just about beauty, but about recovery, performance and overall wellness. Something we’d genuinely use ourselves. 👍🏻

What followed wasn’t simple.

✴️3.5 years of development. ⏳
✴️37 taste variations per flavour. 🤤
✴️Countless tweaks to texture, colour, consistency and mouthfeel.

There were moments we genuinely thought we’d be live far earlier. If I’m honest, we hoped we would be. The timeline stretched well beyond what we expected.

But looking back, that extra time may have been the difference.

Had we launched when we first thought we would, we might have been “first mover” in certain areas, and still are in some aspects - but perhaps too early for the market. Too early for customer understanding. Too early for the shift from collagen being seen purely as a beauty product to being recognised for recovery and performance benefits.

So what’s better?

Launch early and be first?
Or wait, refine, and enter a market that has other players - but arrive with a product that’s genuinely different?

I don’t think there’s a universal answer. But for us, taking the longer road is starting to show. 

This month already we’re absolutely flying. Orders are going through the roof. And it’s incredibly encouraging to see that obsessing over the details - how it tastes, how it looks out of the sachet, how it feels to use every day - genuinely matters.

It turns out that if you take your time to build something properly, the market often rewards you for it. No matter how frustrating that time can be because you are eager to launch something - just wait a bit longer. 

Proud of the journey. Proud of the product. And even more excited for what’s ahead.
