Founding engineer for Azure’s Public and Private DNS products. Led engineering for hyper-scale, globally consistent systems, handling 10M+ queries/s (5T/day) on serving plane and 100k+ queries/s on control plane. Built systems that automate DNS buildout for new Azure regions and data centers. Enabled Azure’s Private Link, supporting private connectivity for SaaS providers and Azure users.

Founded and led the IITM Programming Club where I ran regular sessions and hackathons around the latest algorithms, data structures and mathematical concepts ( treaps, segment trees, fast modular exponentiation, modular inverses, suffix arrays, combinatorics, number theory ) used to solve challenging programming problems - with specific focus around ACM ICPC competitions and preparation for World Finals.

Developed a code coverage tool for the IOS team.

Implemented various modules to automate the task of code coverage and also wrote modules to add extra functionalities to LCOV which is a open source code coverage tool.

Indix

First ML engineering hire at Indix, built an ML-based product page parser for e-commerce sites. Replaced 1000s of custom parsers with a scalable ML algorithm using HTML tags and visual attributes. Scaled parser capacity over 100x, marking a major milestone in Indix’s growth.

Startup founder passionate solving large problems that truly disruptive and positive impact on the world.

I love solving 0-1 problems and working at the intersection of cutting edge technology, design and product. I believe in going after problems that have outsized positive impact while always focussing on the end customer and what value they get every step of the way.

I started my career working in ultra low latency and high-scale systems for DNS where I built services that can handle more than 1T queries a day.  For the next 3 years of my career, I lead the effort to build Azure's first Revenue, Billing and Usage Platform where I own core architecture and design. I incubated this effort and built the first version of the product. The first year (2021) of the product going live, it had a net positive impact of more than 100M in revenue for Azure. This was really my first taste of the startup journey where I went from building POCs to a small set of initially skeptical users to delighting more than 100 product owners with a end to end revenue and billing infrastructure.

Went to the International Math Olympiad in High School twice (2011, 2012) and the World Finals of ACM-ICPC in university (2015). Always loved all things numbers. I did research in Matroids which is a special type of algebraic structure which generalizes linear independence in university.

Accounting and Finance have always been a side quest of mine since a young age because I was born into a family of accountants and financial analysts. Now it's my main quest!
