Steven Harrison is the Founder and CEO of Vinoshipper, a leading e-commerce and compliance platform to manage direct sales and self-distribution products in the beverage alcohol industry. He has over 30 years of experience in finance and operations management, and a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded and led several early-stage businesses.

With a vision to empower small and medium-sized alcohol beverage producers to sell and ship their brands directly, Steven launched Vinoshipper in 2006 and has since grown it to one of the largest compliance businesses in the country, with more than 3,000 clients. The business acquired CompleteDTC in 2022, a CRM system that complements the Vinoshipper platform. Steven is a recognized expert and advocate for the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) movement, and frequently consults and collaborates with public officials and industry stakeholders on policy and regulatory issues related to the safe and legal shipment of alcoholic beverages.

It should not require litigation to address the challenges in direct sales within the beverage alcohol sector. A common-sense approach from our legislators is essential and they should stop protecting one sales channel. The current restrictive rules based solely on license types and which channel you are in are unwarranted. Legislators have a responsibility to their constituents, including consumers, producers, and sellers. Some states have done this and there are no negative consequences, in fact both jobs and business grow.
