Played a key role in Tencent’s strategic video game business expansion into North America. Recruited 40+ FTE including game developers, infrastructure, and AI/ML researchers – all Intern to Lead-level.
o Hired multiple hard-to-fill Lead Engineer positions.

• Owned all game engineering and R&D hiring for highest-profile project in North America – Lightspeed LA.

•Achieved a 90%+ offer acceptance rate:
o Realign interviewing process to start with Hiring Manager screen – instead of testing. Resulted in 80% of candidates finishing process compared to ~50% when I took over the team.
o Shifted engineering hiring from “screening out” to “screening in” resulting in increased offer acceptance rates.

• Dramatically reducing time-to-hire from ~120 days to 70 days by:
o Introducing teams to creative industry resources for quicker and more expansive sourcing, including building a presentation called “Industry Insights” that helped with more targeted intake calls,
o Building a “keep close” pipeline - with scheduled messaging – that helped with speedy project upstart via warm candidates,
o Using the “most placeable candidate” process to find a well-qualified candidate within 72 hours of kickoff and help with establishing urgency/priority,
o Optimizing multiple interview steps with hiring manager to reduce interview stages from 6 -> 4 per hire.
