BTM Media offered brand and digital media marketing and strategy solutions for small-medium sized companies, especially in the CPG and Endurance Sports categories.  BTM Media was the result of my experience and passion for marketing, entrepreneurship and endurance sports.  Depending on the project, I acted as an extension of a marketing team or led the execution from beginning to end.  

Projects included:

►  Developed and launched the Team Sirius Tri Club, online coaching and social media platform for world-renown professional elite triathlon coach Siri Lindley. (Team Sirius – Endurance Sports).

► Supported the launch of Thrive Tribe, new food brand in the natural and conventional channels, including developing initial forecasts, budgets, P&Ls, packaging development and sourcing (1908 Brands – CPG).

► Led the packaging development and sourcing of a premium honey-based lollipop for kids that was launched mid-2017 (Wedderspoon - CPG)

Craft Beer Hound

Craft Beer Hound was an online retailer of gifts & gadgets for beer lovers. I led the company’s efforts to position it as an innovative brand made by and for beer “geeks”.  Acquired by a private investor. 

► Grew company’s brand awareness and trial of products by building a strong social media followership in platforms such as Facebook (15,000+ followers) and Instagram, by carefully curating a loyal email list of 6500+ subscribers, by working with influencers and by actively participating in expos.

► Positioned the brand as an innovation leader in the category through the company’s flagship product: the beer cap collector

► Increased annual revenue by almost 20% after launching the CBH Beer Appreciation Club, a monthly subscription box service of beer gear.

Managed strategic direction and tactical activities on the $2MM Ready-To-Drink division which included portfolio of kombucha drinks and natural energy and sleep aid shots.

► Built awareness and trial of the $1MM energy and sleep aid shot businesses by executing marketing plans that included consumer promotions, in-store tactics, digital and advertising, leading to a 15% sales increase in the natural channel in FY13

► Led team from ideation and concept through launch and commercialization of 2 new sku’s with projections of strong performance in the natural channel

► Managed division’s P&L and budget that led to improved profitability and elimination of overspending.

► Successfully provided leadership with accurate sales and production estimates for FY12-13 by developing monthly sales forecasts.

► Conducted category and competitors analysis to provide senior management with insights and recommendations for innovation and product rationalization.

Inca Runners operated all-inclusive premium running and hiking tours on the Inca Trail in Peru

► Successfully launched company, as well as developed and executed its strategic business plan, including brand identity and positioning, as well as marketing and digital, operating and financial plans.

► Increased brand awareness and sales (by more than 40% in 2011) by launching an influencer program called Inca Runners Ambassadors.

► Launched running camps in the U.S., leading to sales increase of 15% in 2012

► Led development and implementation of Parent’s Choice’s re-launch.  This included packaging and product upgrades. 

    o	Led agency partners the development and execution of new brand identity, which was adapted into new packaging design for the entire brand portfolio (120 SKUs).

    o	Managed cross-functional internal and external teams including merchants, sourcing, packaging and suppliers to ensure on-time execution of upgraded and new products for the brand’s re-launch.

    o	Developed robust 4-year innovation pipeline for the Baby Food business, including new lines estimated to generate $50M+ of new ongoing revenue

►  Improved shelf visibility of Ol’Roy’s brand by upgrading packaging design of Wet Food and Treats lines (40 SKUs), aligning it with Ol’Roy’s Dry food new look.

► Managed brand’s $20MM budget by tracking expenses and proactively communicating with management to avoid overspending.

► Strengthened brand portfolio in Pet Specialty channel by launching 5 new items, leading multiple projects such as ideation, packaging design, product development and marketing plans.

► Supported launch of brand’s major innovation project (Pro Plan Selects), resulting in 12% sales growth. This included leading product development and executing marketing programs for the cat food business.

► Developed and executed marketing plans for the cat food business including consumer promotions, print, packaging, digital and in-store communication. 

► Led packaging transition from plastic jugs to bags for dry cat business resulting in savings of 25% and improved on-shelf visibility.
