There's an underrated way to create visuals to your text here on LinkedIn that stop the scroll

You probably have a bunch of them - but if you dont have, they are easy to get

You probably have used them a lot - but not in this way

You probably already know where I am going - or maybe not

I am talking about post-its!

they are perfect for when you dont have time to create more elaborated graphics

or when you dont want to take a selfie to post with your text

You can simply write on a post-it and use it as your visual.

The yellow sticky in particular can really stop the scroll - yellow color has a big contrast compared to all the blue here on LinkedIn

And it adds a bit of you to your content when you use your handwriting.

5 random fun-facts about me that you didn't ask, but I am writing anyway

1. I have created over 1700 pieces of content

I confess I had no idea it was this much! I checked out of curiosity because I create content since 2019 (but my data was from 2020). So for the past 5 years I had an average of 340 pieces written - which is wild!

2. When I was a teenager I used to run a blog about games

It was the first time I got in touch with content creation. Back then I had a WordPress blog that I used to write reviews and previews of games I liked. From Nintendo Wii to Playstation Just writing about it now gives me so much nostalgia!

3. Once a doctor told me I'd never be able to do anything that required motor coordination.

A first doctor told my mom I had some sort of brain problem and wanted to open my head (which, thankfully didnt happen). Luckily a second doctor found out that actually I was born with congenital torticollis, which means that I had a short neck muscle that made my neck lean on one side more than other. I had a surgery and everything went well

Now it's funny to think the first doctor said I'd never be able to do things like playing football, dancing or even drawing (ha ha)

4. It's been 12 years since I landed my first design job

This is just “officially” because I've been playing with photoshop since I was 9 years old and I was here and there doing some little designs. But It's crazy to think that time flies and that I could work on so many projects and companies during this time until I started my own.

5. I'm loving to write using a fountain pen

Before it never occurred to me to buy one, I was just happy writing with my ballpoint or fineliner pens. But then my son started using these for school and I thought I'd give it a try. At the beginning, it was horrible and I didnt know how to use them! But now that I got the hang of it, I cannot stop writing with it!

Which number surprised you the most?

Is there a random fact that I should know about you?

Sometimes things don't go as planned and that's ok

“If you put my infographic next to the person who created this template… it looks the same”

A founder told me this while on a discovery call.
And he was right. 

When I checked some of his content using that template I could remember dozens of people with the exact same look.

The same happens when people use Gemini/Notebook LLM infographics, ChatGPT Images and so on.

The problem with templates or AI images is that they were not made custom to you, is that you risk looking like anyone else.

Then why leads would pay attention to you specifically?

Yes, templates are a great starting point, especially for beginners.

But are you still a beginner? Probably not

So your content needs to represent the stage you are.

Otherwise, your confidence will go down the drain 
(and we don’t want that, right?)

Every format serves a purpose

If you want inspiration on how to create a post that educates your audience on your expertise, this is great!

It reduces cognitive load - aka the effort to understand your thing - and give people a clear idea of how you think

Diagrams and frameworks like this work like a charm to simplify your thinking and build trust with your audience 

(a great MOFU type of post if you ask)

How to apply in your content?

1) Pick the 2 axes (X and Y) that explain the tradeoff in your idea (ex: Clarity vs Distinction)

2) Name each corner with simple outcomes (what happens when X and Y are low or high).

3) Put common examples in the “bad” boxes so readers can self-identify fast.

4) Highlight the top right box as the goal they desire

5) Write the headline, thinking about the goal your audience wants to achieve

The scroll-stopping technique I used to get over 34.000 impressions in one LinkedIn post with a small audience

(and made Chris Do notice me)

If you're struggling to get noticed on LinkedIn you are definitely not alone.

Even though still about 1-2% of users producing content here, the bar to post content got low. But this is a good thing! Because now people who can share their ideas in a unique way will have a better chance to stand out.

So how did I manage to get all those impressions, over 200 likes, 80 comments and over 70 followers (with an audience smaller than 1k?)

I presented an idea in a different way that people were used to.

More precisely, I presented an idea of a person who has a huge following, Chris Do. But it could be gone under the radar, I bet a lot of people tag him on a daily basis. So why he even bothered to comment my post?

The visual concept I did was so distinctive that it stood out from the crowd

So how can you apply this to your content?

- Pick an idea from a top voice/creator that resonates with you
- Repack the idea in a visual concept that represents your interpretation
- Share it in your profile (giving credit to the author)

Will this work 100% of the time? Maybe yes, maybe no

I've done this with people who didnt care. 

But more times than I could expect, this approach resulted in positive outcomes :)

How to create a scroll-stopping visual in 30 minutes using one simple format

You probably don’t struggle with ideas.
You struggle with turning the idea into something people actually stop for.

So what happens?
You overthink, open a design tool, and suddenly it’s been 2 hours.

You try AI images. It feels soulless.
You try Canva templates. It feels unprofessional.
And you end up posting something that doesn’t match your expertise.

(Yes, I made up the name hehe)

It forces your idea into a clean decision path, so the visual is basically designed for you:
Step 1: Pick a topic + one big question
Step 2: Create a few “paths” (yes/no works great)
Step 3: Do a quick 5-minute style scan for inspiration
Step 4: Design it fast in Figma, Canva, or even on paper
