This might seem counterintuitive. But for creators building a business, consistent work beats one-off payments. And brands appreciate your commitment.

→ They reply within 24-48 hours

Many creators ghost after a collab ends. That's one of the fastest ways to get blacklisted.

Be communicative. And if you can't, just say so. That alone builds trust.

→ They pitch before I do

"Want to turn this into a series?" or "I have an idea for a follow-up."

Brands value proactivity. It shows you're invested beyond just the current project.

→ They're honest when things underperform

One creator told me: "Hey, this one flopped. Here's why I think it happened, and here's what I'd do differently."

That message made me want to work with them more, not less.

Most creators don't do any of this. Which is exactly why you should.

→ Found a creator on our niche
→ Paid for one sponsored video (flat fee)
→ Offered affiliate commission on top (he didn't ask for it)
→ Video did really well, signups came in
→ A few converted to paid customers
→ He started seeing passive income hit his account

Then, without us reaching out for a new one, he made 3 more videos about Perspective.

On his own, with no ask, brief or second payment from our side.

Why? Two things:

- He loved the tool and thought it was valuable for his audience
- He saw the potential to own this niche before others did (smart creator)

Once I noticed he was doing that, I reached out. Now we're plotting how to 10x his impact together.

Here's the thing most brands get wrong:

They pay a flat fee. Creator posts. Done. Transaction over.

But flat fee only pays for their time. It doesn't keep them around.

That's why we always offer affiliate compensation on top, even when creators don't ask for it.

Yes, the affiliate cuts into margins on video one. But it almost guarantees videos 2, 3, 4 without extra spend.

It's a retention strategy (if you have a good product).

Yes, the final result is great. I love seeing it.

But I also want to see what came before that🧚

The rough drafts.
The ideas that almost didn’t make it.
The version you almost posted but didn’t.
The thinking behind the decisions.

Because that’s the real stuff and what actually helps people.

Not just the polished end product.
But the “here’s how I got there.”

The small tweaks you made and the moments where you genuinely had no idea what you were doing… and figured it out anyway.

We all think our messy middle isn’t worth sharing.

It is.

Someone is at the exact stage you were 6 months ago.
And your process is probably the thing they need to see.

So document more.💅🏾
Share the behind-the-scenes.
Let people see a bit of the chaos.

The finished product shows what you made.

The process shows how you think🫶🏽

What I wish new LinkedIn creators understood about “value.”

Everyone starts out thinking value means writing a 10-paragraph essay with a framework, a subframework, and a conclusion that circles back to the framework.

It doesn’t.

Value is just… helping someone. That’s it.

It looks like:

→ Saying something clearly instead of cleverly
→ Writing for one specific person, not “my audience”
→ Sharing the one thing you learned this week
→ Helping someone feel less alone in what they’re going through
→ Showing someone a way of thinking about something they hadn’t considered

You don’t need to be an expert🧚

You don’t need a viral formula. 

You don’t need to have built a 7-figure business to have something worth saying.👀

You just need to show up, say something real, and make it easy to understand.

Do that consistently and the rest - the followers, the opportunities, the DMs - starts to come naturally.

Not because you cracked the algorithm.

Because people can tell when something is actually written for them.💅🏾

The most underrated creator skill? Replying to your comments.

I see it all the time - someone posts great content, gets real engagement, and then just… disappears into the void (This is me, i’m someone😭)

No replies. No reactions. Nothing.

And I get it, it feels small. But ignoring your comments is basically waving at someone who waved at you first and then turning around and walking away.

Comments aren’t just vanity metrics. 

They’re conversations waiting to happen.

When you actually show up in them, you build:

→ Trust (people see you’re a real human)
→ Loyalty (they’ll keep coming back)
→ Connection (parasocial but make it mutual)
→ A community that actually feels like one
→ Real insight into what your people actually want from you

You don’t need 10k followers to grow. You need to talk to the 47 people who already care enough to comment.

Because here’s the thing - the algorithm loves engagement. But more than that, people love feeling seen.

Replying to comments is free. It takes five minutes. And it might be the most high-ROI thing you’re not doing.

Yesterday was International Women’s Day💅🏾

and if you didn’t know…

I’m the first of four girls. No brothers - just sisters.

So from the very beginning, my world was shaped by strong, opinionated, supportive women. Growing up in a house full of girls meant I was constantly surrounded by different personalities, perspectives, and strengths.

And honestly, that shaped me more than I realized at the time.

Every woman in my life - my sisters, friends, colleagues, and the creators I work with - continues to inspire me to be a better friend, partner, sister, and teammate.

If you’ve ever met me, you’ve probably met a direct reflection of the women who raised me, challenged me, supported me, and continue to push me to grow.

So this is just a small thank you to the women who make me better every single day.

“We want authentic content”

 
is one of those phrases B2B brands love to say and almost never explain.

So let me break down what they actually mean when they say it because it’s not what most creators think :) 

They don’t mean unfiltered, raw footage and no editing. they also don’t mean posting whatever you want whenever you want.

What they actually mean is: we want content that doesn’t feel like an ad, even though it is one 💀

and the way you get there is simpler than it sounds. it means talking about their product the same way you’d talk about anything else you genuinely use. 

it means fitting it into a real story, a real experience, a real moment - not building a whole post around the brand mention. it means your audience should be able to tell you actually tried the thing 🫶🏽

B2B brands specifically are also looking for something else when they say authentic - they want credibility. they want you to sound like you know what you’re talking about. your opinion needs to carry weight in your space. that’s what makes it authentic to them💅🏾

so next time a brand brief says “just be authentic!” ask them what that means to them. 

because 9/10 there’s a much more specific answer underneath it🩵

and knowing that answer is what makes you easier to work with AND better at your content 💕
