CTO and Technology Leader with 14+ years of experience across enterprise and scaleup environments. I build and grow technology functions from scratch, turning teams and platforms into engines of execution and business impact.

Over the years, I’ve worked across three main areas:
- Leadership & Culture: high-performing teams, autonomy, ownership, talent growth, and cross-functional collaboration
- Product, Data & Platforms: modernization of B2B platforms, cloud-native applications, DevOps practices, reliable delivery (CI/CD, test automation), data platforms and analytics
- Operational Excellence & Security: reliability, monitoring, business continuity, cybersecurity, and IT governance

I’ve developed this mix through diverse experiences, from enterprise environments (IBM), to strategic technology consulting (BCG Platinion), to fast-growing companies such as Casavo (hypergrowth), and today Jointly, where I built Engineering, Digital, and IT Operations from the ground up, evolving the technology function into a proactive business enabler.

L’astrazione che crea un gap di conoscenza.

Ieri Gabriele Santomaggio ha tenuto un talk in cui… non ha parlato dell’argomento del talk.

Ha invece fatto un sondaggio in tempo reale, chiedendo al pubblico se conoscesse (o meno) alcuni concetti di informatica.

Quando le mani si alzavano, aggiungeva una variabile interessante: “E sotto i 30 anni?”
Mani che si abbassano in massa.

Il risultato è stato piuttosto chiaro: una parte significativa dei più giovani in sala non ha una reale cognizione dei fondamenti dell’informatica. 

Si sperimenta con il vibe coding, si usano framework, si lavora con linguaggi ad altissimo livello.

Ma si va in difficoltà su concetti “di base” come il modello ISO/OSI o la differenza tra containerizzazione e virtualizzazione.

Questa situazione è fisiologica ma anche pericolosa.

È fisiologica perché l’astrazione è sempre stata uno dei superpoteri dell’informatica: ci ha permesso di costruire sistemi sempre più complessi.

È pericolosa perché anche le astrazioni vanno progettate, mantenute e comprese da qualcuno.

E il trend sembra essere questo: le persone in grado di farlo diminuiscono, invece che aumentare.

Riflessioni a parte, il 2026 non poteva iniziare meglio: la seconda edizione di “Bonanni a Tutti” conferma l’intuizione di Savino Carlone, che ha creato un piccolo grande gioiello nel panorama tech italiano.

Una giornata intera con speaker e ospiti che definire “di pregio” è riduttivo.
