Editor In Chief, Foreign Language Publications

Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Toronto

Managed a multi-tasking team that liaised with three levels of government, academia, and media outlets to align global priorities and promote business opportunities in Toronto. 
• Partnered with stakeholders and solicited nearly half-million pieces of PPE through 20+ batches of donations to Ontario.
• Led multiple delegations to travel abroad and advance public relations and business interests. Involved in ministerial-level meetings for 10+ Ontario ministries.  
• Launched integrated campaigns through exclusive interviews with Globe and Mail/ CBC/ CTV, and 40+ op-eds published in national newspapers in Canada as well as car parades/walks in downtown Toronto.
• Organized conferences (e.g. climate change, healthcare, infrastructure/public transit, waste management) & secured major grants （$400K+) for post-secondary, benefiting 1,000+ attendees each year.
• Partnered with governments in Canada, private sectors, and the community to foster cooperation and partnerships in areas of healthcare, financial regulation, long-term care, infrastructure, education, trade, and indigenous affairs. 
• Initiated the establishment of an alumni association in Toronto and continued engagement with volunteers and stakeholders across sectors.

Director of Public Affairs

Responsible for policy development and execution with a budget of $2.6 million to bolster international trade and investment.  
• Developed program operational plan and set KPIs to track the performance of 100+ offices worldwide. 
Initiates and manages critical relationships and partnerships with senior leaders and managers across departments to provide expertise and enable collaboration on initiatives.
• Tailored 6 business visits for the diplomatic corps, where 40+ companies were met to discuss how to remain competitive in the global supply chains.
• Connected with business leaders from various sectors (clean energy, precision machinery, aerospace, shipbuilding, advanced agriculture, logistics, healthcare, and medical supplies) and bolstered business matchmaking.

Manager, Trade and Investment Promotion

Developed the negotiation strategy to result in a bilateral agreement. Launched marketing programs for large events such as “Canada Blooms, Taipei Garden” attracting thousands of attendees. Secured major grants for post-secondary education in Ontario.
·Negotiated a reciprocal driver’s license agreement between Taiwan and Ontario which led to the conclusion of the agreement and benefited thousands of students and residents in Ontario.
·Influenced the policy decision resulting in the Canadian Visa Waiver program boosting two-way tourism and ease of doing business. 
·Sponsored 20+ cultural events and worked with Toronto-based media outlets for marketing and press events.
