HR budget consists of $2.3M. Manages and leads team of 9 HR employees consisting of HR Business Partners, Organizational Capability Team Lead and Advisors, HR Assistant and HR Planning & Projects Analyst. Team is focused on delivering superior HR support to the business while maximizing the organizational capability and competencies of the workforce. Member of the DWEP Leadership team committed to being an industry leader in creating profitable legacy assets for Chevron and executing incident-free and trouble-free, all the time. Member and BCP/Crisis Management team. Member of the DWEP and North America HR personnel development committees charged with ensuring we have the right people, with the right skills and competencies, in the right jobs at the right time. From November 2016 – May 2017 acquired the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) HR manager role in addition to the DWEP HR Manager role. GOM consisted of ~ 2000 employees. Led HR team of 7 HR professionals (HRBPs, HRA, OC and payroll).

HR Manager, Deepwater Exploration & Projects (DWEP)

Served as the HR and Organizational (OC) Advisor the North America Exploration and Production (CNAEP) President and the General Manager of HR in regard to building a strong, competent and sustainable workforce. CNAEPs portfolio includes both conventional (oil and natural gas) and unconventional resources (shale, oil sands and coal bed methane). CNAEP, headquartered in Houston, Texas, has over 8,400 employees and 28,000 contractors deployed throughout the US and Canada.

Served as Advisor to Chevron’s Enterprise Workforce Development (EWD) organization. Global Workforce Development is a Center of Expertise for talent management, with specific focus on leadership and individual employee development. By partnering with leaders, provided integrated solutions that measurably enhance business performance through our consulting, stewardship of enterprise talent processes, development programs, learning technologies and workforce analytics.

•	Functioned as HR & Talent Manager for the SASBU located in Luanda, Angola, Africa consisting of more
than 4000 employees spanning six international and USA locations.

Act as informal leader to HR team and provide mentoring and coaching to junior HR professionals. Active member of 4 business leadership teams and 3 PDCs. Serve as champion and provide seamless counsel and support of the R4 strategy, ensuring CVX Upstream Capability business units have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place and at the right time to deliver on business success. Facilitate leaders to tap the power of the global upstream workforce by providing simple, efficient, helpful approaches and tools that enable managers, engage employees and fill business and employee needs. Served as Advisor and Delegation of Authority back up to Human Resources General Manager of Global Operations. Facilitated, managed and served as member of the HR Operations Leadership Team (included conducting meetings, facilitating business planning, creating a scorecard, creating a LT charter, creating and maintaining a budget, and serving as a LT member, etc.).  Served as Global HR process standardization project coordinator, global HR projects analyst and global HR planning coordinator.  Liaised with DS HR Projects & Planning Manager for HQ to ensure alignment between SBUs and Regions. Global scope and responsibility included a client base consisting of 5 regions (Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa-Pakistan-Middle East, Latin America and North America) with approximately 100 countries, 5 Regional Planners, 5 LT members and 1 GM HR. Led teams to create approx. 15 global HR Processes and Guidelines on time and as scoped and served as SME of the various HR processes and guidelines. Led team to identify and develop the complex global and regional data flow and coordination for Downstream PASA (Performance Assessment & Salary Administration). Led the global coordination of Performance Assessment and Pay Determination processes and data flow for 5 SBUS and Services spanning 5 regions for approx. 100 countries which have complex technology, data, cultural and legal requirements. Upon issuance of the Corporate HIV/AIDS policy and with minimal guidance from the Corporation, determined immediate and long term global project plan, created execution tools and defined deployment strategy to implement the policy in Downstream within 100 countries for ~18,000 employees. Received a Chevron President’s award for my role in the deployment of the HIV/AIDs policy world-wide.

Global Projects & Planning - Downstream

Partnered with the Information Technology Company’s (ITC) management team to source, strategically staff and develop the IT professional workforce. Served as Project Manager and Team Facilitator for the ITC’s Human Resources department. Served as HR Business Partner for ITC HR and provided HR counsel and support for the Corporate ITC group consisting of approx. 200 employees, including serving as the HR Business Partner for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Corp ITC. Provided HR counsel on employee relations, HR processes as well as corporate policies. Facilitated the Chevron CIO PDC consisting of developing the format and content of the PDC meetings as well as leading/counseling on discussions regarding workforce management, strategic staffing, succession planning and leadership development. Some major accomplishments include managing a global talent management system and toolkit, leading the global IT personnel development committee network, rejuvenating the Recognition and Awards program and part of the resource optimization management (ROM) team charged with faciliting the process to identify and optimize 1000 workforce members and positions.
