Dekarta Capital

A private (one-LP) $50MM VC/PE fund with broad investment strategy in terms of company stage (seed, early, late), sector (e-commerce, energy, retail, insurance, real estate etc.) and geography (Ukraine, Latvia, Russia). Raised capital, negotiated management terms, recruited co-founder and team members, developed brand identity, established structure and partner network. As a member of the investment committee participated in decision making on fund's and portfolio companies' strategy. Operationally focused on investor relations, fund marketing, and deal sourcing. Helped portfolio companies in all operation aspects: setting up corporate structure, creating an advisory board, developing strategy of entering the markets (China, US, UK, EU and CIS countries), pivoting market offer, creating brand, raising external funds, installing CRM and financial reporting system, developing HR policies and compensations schemes, recruiting talent (CEOs, CMO, BDO, CFOs). 
- Initiated, managed and exited a complex deal of financing the acquisition between two competitors to create a market leader with realized deal's IRR of 35% on $6MM transaction.
- In 20 months after investment, received a 3rd party term-sheet with portfolio company valuation x8 times of the initial deal (declined by the Investment committee in favor of DC's own follow-up round).

Over a decade, I founded an organization & scaled it.

I started 321 Education when I was 25. 

I was driven by a passion to improve the quality of education for some of India’s poorest children and most in-need schools. 
It was a hard and long journey full of challenges, mis-steps & pivots.

I had the drive of a founder but I had to learn how to be a CEO. 
But over a decade I managed to scale 321 Education successfully. 

Our programs reached over 300,000+ Students, 20,000+ Educators & 2000+ Schools. 
A 2019 independent evaluation found that in just 1 year, 321 was increasing student learning 4X compared to the control group.
Over this period our team grew to ~100 people and I raised ₹30+ Crores for the organization. 

There have been several documentaries made on our work & our innovative model has been profiled in 2 books.
