Dekarta Capital

A private (one-LP) $50MM VC/PE fund with broad investment strategy in terms of company stage (seed, early, late), sector (e-commerce, energy, retail, insurance, real estate etc.) and geography (Ukraine, Latvia, Russia). Raised capital, negotiated management terms, recruited co-founder and team members, developed brand identity, established structure and partner network. As a member of the investment committee participated in decision making on fund's and portfolio companies' strategy. Operationally focused on investor relations, fund marketing, and deal sourcing. Helped portfolio companies in all operation aspects: setting up corporate structure, creating an advisory board, developing strategy of entering the markets (China, US, UK, EU and CIS countries), pivoting market offer, creating brand, raising external funds, installing CRM and financial reporting system, developing HR policies and compensations schemes, recruiting talent (CEOs, CMO, BDO, CFOs).

- In 20 months after investment, received a 3rd party term-sheet with portfolio company valuation x8 times of the initial deal (declined by the Investment committee in favor of DC's own follow-up round).
