Created and pioneered account upsell and retention strategies across enterprise health system accounts, resulting in 110% quota attainment equaling $3.2M in annual recurring revenue.
Led complex upsell deals and served as the internal “quarterback” amongst technical implementation, customer success, support, and product teams generating over $1 million in pipeline generation.
Leveraged business intelligence data (PowerBI, Tableau) to identify $2 million in additional billable revenue, developed capture strategy, and led initiative to scale project across the entire existing customer base.

Call of the Sea

Assist in policy, governance, fundraising, communications, strategic planning, and program development.

Member Board of Directors

Call of the Sea provides outstanding sailing and seafaring experiences for youth and adults. Its mission is to provide inclusive and equitable access to on-the-water, science-based, experiential educational programs that foster the connection to watersheds, ocean environments & nautical heritage. It provides these trainings on two impressive wooden sailing vessels, the brigantine Matthew Turner and the schooner Seaward.

During  the ten months I worked on this assignment, I hired both an Education Manager and a Director of Advancement, and reduced spending by several thousand dollars while revenue increased by more than 15%. I also helped stage the Call of the Sea's most effective fundraising event ever, the Gala40 Celebration, held at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon.

Finally, I concluded the year by leading the in-house effort to recruit and hire Call of the Sea's permanent Executive Director, Carla Thorson, who will lead the organization to new heights.

I helped the post-pandemic transition, including developing a new budget, leading the search for a new, permanent Executive Director, who was hired in November '22. Finally, I helped to prepare the organization to leave fiscal sponsorship.

I also helped the leadership team reorganize the Org Chart to fit the changed mission, while reducing spending by several million dollars without laying off any staff, increasing earned revenue, and supporting an increase in donated revenue.

I was editor and publisher of the voice of the industry, 'CyberEdge Journal,' and chief analyst and author of the highly respected annual report, 'The Market for Visual Simulation/Virtual Reality Systems,' which was published annually in the early 2000's. I have hundreds of articles in print and authored the five-star rated book, 'Virtual Reality 1.0 – the 90's.'
