– Around 147 impressions
 – Almost no profile reach
 – 489 followers
 – Barely getting any engagement

Today, it looks like this:
– 15,500+ impressions
 – 1,500+ profile reach

And this was possible because of one thing:
I committed myself to staying consistent for 1 month.

Here’s what I did in the last 1 month:
– Posted daily at 9:45 AM (except Sundays)
 – Commented before and after publishing my post
 – Replied to all comments on my posts (especially in the first hour)

My best friend told me to stop posting on LinkedIn.


Here's what she exactly said: "Plz stop. why are you even trying? You won’t last long. You’ll quit again in a week.”

So mean!! Right?
It sounding like she said it to hurt me.


But no, that’s not the truth.

She said it because she knows me very well.

I’ve done this before.

- Started posting.
- Got excited.
- Then the engagement dropped…

 and so did my motivation.

Twitter.
Instagram.
YouTube.
Same pattern every time.

So when she said that, I didn’t argue.

Because she was right, about the old me.

But this time feels different.

Not because I’m getting more likes.
Not because posts are doing well.
because I’ve stopped chasing dopamine.

I know there will be days when:

 – the reach drops
 – the posts don’t perform
 – the motivation fades

And that’s okay.

This time, I’m not competing with the algorithm.

 I’m competing with the version of me that quits too early.

I want to build consistency.
I want to build discipline.

And I want 2026 to be the year I finally stick to something.

I said no to an opportunity I had been waiting for… 

and now I don’t know if I did the right thing.

I recently missed a LinkedIn ghostwriting opportunity because I didn’t feel ready.

And honestly, I’m still confused about whether I made the right decision or not.

This isn’t the first time I’ve let an opportunity go because I didn’t feel prepared.

But this time, it felt different.

I had promised myself that the next time an opportunity came, I would show up confidently.

That I wouldn’t run away.
That I would say yes.

But I still said no.

Here’s why.

It was a full-time LinkedIn ghostwriting role.
Remote, but with fixed working hours.

And right now, I already have a full-time job.

At first, I thought it would be flexible, like finishing the work before deadlines and managing things on my own.

That’s why I got excited.

But once I got to know it had fixed hours, I had to step back.

Because realistically, I can’t do two full-time jobs at the same time.

Still, I feel guilty.

because I had been waiting for a LinkedIn ghostwriting (freelance) opportunity for so long.

And when something close finally came, I let it go.

Maybe it was the right decision.
Maybe it was fear in disguise.

I’m still trying to understand that.

Nothing happens unless LinkedIn decides to push your content.

🚩 Biggest Red Flag Client:

Here’s a real client experience from recently 👇
I approached them for LinkedIn ghostwriting.

They said yes.
We got on a call.

Then the real expectations came out…
“You have to handle:
 • writing
 • posting
 • commenting
 • design
 • DMing people
All for ₹5k.”

And the biggest red flag? 🚩
No freedom.

They’ll tell you:
 – what to write
 – how to write
 – when to post
 – what not to say
Even when they themselves don’t understand LinkedIn.

I've worked with this type of client before.

And trust me, it always ends the same way:
→ Constant micromanagement
→ No clarity
→ No respect for your time
→ Burnout within weeks

Slowly, they start entering your personal space too.
- Messages anytime.
- Urgent tasks.
- Zero boundaries.

So, this time I walked away.

Because:
Low budget isn’t the problem.
The real problem is "lack of boundaries."

When clients don’t respect boundaries, it drains your energy.

Now I follow one simple rule:
   ↳No boundaries = no deal.

Peace > paycheck. Always.

12 days ago, my LinkedIn looked very different.

I had:
 – around 147 impressions
 – almost no profile reach

I’m not sharing this to show off.
I’m sharing this because I’m still very much a beginner, and this change surprised me.

It didn’t happen because of anything complicated.
I didn’t use any hacks.
I didn’t go viral.

I just stayed consistent with a few simple things:

1. I posted every day.
Even on days when the post felt “okay, not amazing.

2. I commented before or after posting.
 On posts I genuinely connected with.

3. I didn’t disappear after posting.
I replied to every comment and stayed in the conversation.

4. I followed a schedule.
I showed up at the same time every day, so I didn’t have to overthink it.

That’s it.

If you’re in the early stage and struggling with visibility, I get it.
I was there not long ago.

You don’t need a big strategy to start.
Sometimes, you just need a simple routine you can actually stick to.

I know the feeling of unemployment.

I was there for 7 months.

In 2021,
• I quit NEET.
• Dropped out of college.
• Didn’t listen to my parents.

I was crazy about one thing:
making money online.

[That’s when I got to know about online writing, blogging, and YouTube.]

At the age of 19, my only goal was:
to become rich by 21 😅

So I started trying everything.

- Freelancing in content writing.
- Tutoring kids.
- Creating content on platforms.

Some things worked.
Some didn’t.

 And some I quit after a few months.

And stayed unemployed for 7 months.

That was the worst phase of my life.

I never felt guilty about any decision of mine, but at that time, I did.

Making my parents unhappy.
Choosing an unconventional path.
Not earning anything.

I genuinely thought,
this is it… I’ll never get out of this.

I was so depressed that I couldn’t get out of my room for days.
But I was stupid.

I was stressed because I couldn’t see what was coming next.

But now, when I look back, I realize the root cause of that phase.

I was waiting.

Waiting for something to happen.
Waiting for someone to hand me an opportunity.

But the moment I stopped waiting
and started taking action,
everything started changing.

So whenever I feel stuck today,
I remind myself of that phase.

I passed it once.
I’ll pass it again.

My fear before posting for the first time.


My first post was in 2022.

I remember opening LinkedIn and overthinking everything.

• What if I make a grammar mistake?
• What if people laugh at me?
• What if someone trolls me for sharing an opinion?

Still, I posted the first post.

And guess what?

No one read it. 😅

On my second post, I got one like.

And I was so happy, like, okay, this works.

At that time, my goal was very simple:
 ▪︎ I wanted to build my presence.
 ▪︎ I wanted content writing opportunities.

And since no one really knew me, overcoming that fears felt easier.

But even today, whenever I post 1 fear still bothers me👇

The fear of going viral.

Because in my head:
 More reach = more people
 More people = more judgments

But here’s the truth.
Few posts of mine got amazing reach recently.

But Nothing bad happened to them.
No one judged me.
No one criticised my writing.
No hateful comments.

It was all in my head.

It was just a mind trap that keeping me inside my comfort zone.

So here's what I realized,
the fear is the enemy between who you are and who you want to become.

This is what confused me the most when I first opened LinkedIn.

In November 2022, I opened LinkedIn for the first time.

[Before that, I thought LinkedIn was just a job search platform.]

I joined LinkedIn because I watched one YouTube video saying:
“LinkedIn is the best platform to get freelance clients.”

So I created an account.

And then came the confusing part.

The profile.

Everyone said,
 “Optimize your bio.”
 “Write a strong About section.”
 “Position yourself clearly.”

But no one explained what that actually meant.

I kept asking myself:
• Do I write like a resume?
• Do I talk about my skills?
• Do I sound professional or personal?
• Do I sell… or not sell?

I stared at that empty bio section for hours.

Because I was confused about my positioning.
- Who am I helping?
- What problem do I solve?
- Why should anyone care?

That confusion taught me something important:
LinkedIn doesn’t reward people who try to sound impressive.

It rewards people who are clear.

If you’re new to LinkedIn and stuck on your bio, you’re not doing it wrong.

You’re just trying to write before you understand your value.

And that clarity comes with time, testing, and honest self-reflection.

Someone asked me this recently.

And honestly… I was a little surprised.

I assumed everyone on LinkedIn already knew what ghostwriting was, especially people who’ve been here for years.

But that one simple question made me realize:

There are still so many people who don’t actually know what ghostwriting means.

So let me explain it the way I understood it.

Ghostwriting = writing for someone else.

The post goes out in their name.
The voice sounds like them.
The thoughts feel like theirs.

But the words?
Written by someone behind the scenes.

As a ghostwriter, I don’t get to use my own style.
I borrow the clients' voice.
I think like them.
Write like them.
Sound like them.

The job is to make the content sound so natural that no one can tell it wasn’t written by them.

And when the post performs well?
The credit goes to the creator, not the writer.

That’s the invisible part of this job.

and honestly, that’s what makes it interesting.

Because when people say,
“Your content feels so real.”

That’s when I know I’ve done it right.

Me as a beginner: 
“If I write something valuable, LinkedIn will take care of the rest.”

LinkedIn after slapping me with zero reach: 
“Who told you that?” 😅

I believed this for months and stayed invisible.

I’d write something thoughtful.
Hit “post.”
And log out.

And then end up getting:
No replies.
No conversations.
No engagement.

That’s when I realized something important:

Every platform works differently.
And LinkedIn is not Instagram or YouTube.

You can’t post and disappear.

LinkedIn is built for:
 • Conversations
 • Engagement
 • Long-term professional relationships

Posting is only half the work.

The other half is what you do after you post:
• Replying to comments.
• Engaging with others.
• Starting real conversations.

If you only post and don’t engage,
The algorithm has no reason to push your content.

You could publish 100 posts
and still stay invisible.

So if you’re new to LinkedIn, remember this:
👉 Growth doesn’t come from posting more.
👉 It comes from showing up more.

– Followed one clear theme
– Wrote for one audience (not everyone)
– Spent time commenting before and after posting

Super simple.

But here's the funny thing:
I planned to post every day this week.

But I missed one day.

And you know what?

Nothing happened. The momentum stayed.

Because the challenge wasn’t “posting daily without missing a single day.”

It was removing the pressure of deciding what to post every day.

And batching my content beforehand helped me stay consistent without burnout.

- I don’t wake up stressing about what to post.
- I don’t second-guess every sentence.
- I just show up and hit publish.

The phase where you post

That’s the phase where most people quit.

I almost did too.

It’s hard to stay consistent when there’s no feedback.

There were days I opened LinkedIn, posted something,

and closed the app feeling stupid for even trying.

I started questioning myself.
“Is this even worth it?”
“Am I wasting my time?”

Because when you don’t see results,

it’s easy to think you’re doing something wrong.

But I’m slowly realizing:

This phase isn’t useless.
It’s the part where discipline is built.
Where habits are formed.

Where you learn to show up without applause.

So I’m choosing to stay.

• Even when it’s quiet.
• Even when it’s slow.
• Even when no one’s watching.

Because every visible creator was once invisible.

posting every single day, no matter what.

So I tried to follow that.

Some days it felt fine.

Some days I had to really push myself.

• What should I write today?
• Does this make sense?
• Is this even useful for anyone?

That thinking started before I even opened LinkedIn.

And slowly, posting began to feel heavy.

That’s when I realised something important.

For beginners, consistency isn’t about doing more.

It’s about removing the things that make showing up difficult.

For me, it helped when I:
– got clear about who I’m writing for
– stopped trying to sound smart
– accepted that not every post has to be perfect
– started capturing ideas daily

Once I did that, showing up felt lighter.

So if you’re new and finding it hard to stay consistent,

it doesn’t mean you lack discipline.

It probably just means you’re overcomplicating the process.

I’m still in the figuring out phase.

But I’m learning that consistency looks different at the beginning.

It feels "forced".

Most of the time, I don’t even know what to write.

And honestly, we’ve all built the habit of typing things like:
 “Great post”
 “All the best”

Because we think we have to comment.

especially when you’re confused and have nothing real to add…
it’s tough.

So I stopped commenting on others posts for a long- time.
And this made my reach went down.

But now, when I started following the “comment daily” method again.

And my reach went up.

That’s when I realized 👇
There are many things we may not enjoy doing.
But if the platform demands it, we can’t ignore it.

Commenting on other profiles isn’t a job.
It’s a strategy.

And if you follow it consistently, especially as a beginner,
you do start seeing results.

You don’t have to love it.
But you can’t deny that it works.

I was talking to someone here a few days ago.

She told me she’s been DMing people regularly
but barely getting any replies.

When I asked what she sends, she said:
She starts very politely.
Tries not to sound pushy.
Avoids being too direct.

Basically, she plays safe.

And honestly, I realized, a lot of us do this.

We want:
 • clients
 • visibility
 • recognition
But we don’t want to ask for it.

So we hide behind:
 – vague messages
 – over-politeness
 – “just connecting” texts
 – no clear intention

Because being clear feels risky.

What if they ignore us?
What if they judge us?
What if it feels desperate?

But here’s what I’ve realized in the last 27 days on LinkedIn:
Confidence on LinkedIn isn’t being loud.
It’s being clear.

Clear about why you’re reaching out.
Clear about what you do.
Clear about what you want.

And that’s when people start responding.

I didn’t know that I couldn’t write.


Yesterday, I was writing a post for a client for the first time.

This was my first real work as a LinkedIn ghostwriter.

I took the project confidently.
Too confidently.

But then I opened the doc.

And suddenly… I couldn’t write a single sentence.

I typed a few words.
Deleted them.

Typed again.
Deleted again.

Then I just stared at the blank screen, feeling completely stuck.

And finally, I quit.

That’s when I realized:
Writing for yourself is easier than writing for others.

When it’s your story, your thoughts, and your voice, it flows.

But when it’s someone else’s voice, expectations, and standards?
Your mind starts resisting.

For a moment, I thought:
“Maybe this isn’t for me.”

But soon I understood:
It wasn’t lack of skill.
It was fear.

Fear of messing it up.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of doing something new.

So, finally after 6 hours of fighting my own mind,
I finally wrote the posts and submitted them to the client.

This was uncomfortable.
And that’s how I know I’m growing.

I was doing everything “right” on LinkedIn and still staying inconsistent.

2 days ago, I attended a LinkedIn masterclass, and it completely changed how I see consistency on LinkedIn.

It was run by Mischa Collins.

And honestly?
It was very practical and had no fluff.

She shared a 4-step system that makes LinkedIn consistency actually doable, especially for beginners.

Here’s what I learned. 👇

1. Lock in your posting schedule:

I posted whenever I felt like it.
Some days at 9 AM, a few days at 2 PM, and then stop for 10 days.

Result:
Inconsistent posting → low reach → frustration.

Here's the system:
• Pick a non-negotiable posting time
• Stick to it for at least 1 month.

When LinkedIn (and your audience) knows when to expect you, growth becomes easier.

2. Stop chasing outcomes. Start committing to processes

I was setting goals I couldn’t control.
“I want 2,000 followers this month.”
“I want clients in a week.”

When those didn’t happen fast, I lost motivation.

Here's the system:
Replace outcome goals with process goals.
Instead of:
“I want 2,000 followers.”

Doing this:
 • 5 posts per week
 • 10 comments per day
 •  Reach out to 10 people daily

You control the process.
The outcome follows.

3. Block time for content creation

“Today was busy; I’ll post tomorrow.”
And tomorrow never comes.

This is how consistency dies.
So, writing content in advance really helps.
 
Here's the system:
• Block time for writing all of your content for the week
• Block time for reviewing them
• And schedule in advance.

When content is ready, showing up becomes easy.

4.  Observe what’s working and adapt it

I thought I had to be 100% original.
That led to overthinking… and not posting.

The system:
Study creators who are already winning.
Look at their:
 • Hooks
 • Structures
 • Topics
Then apply the patterns in your own voice.

That’s how ideas flow, and a winning post gets ready.
