Customer Success Manager

Building, planning, and presenting meaningful sessions for the Masters students in both the school of Business and school of Leadership, while supporting our academic program partners, students, and workforce partners towards incredible integrated learning and work experience opportunities. 

Coaching students who are high achieving professionals in their own right, in the art of career management and development, with many strategies and approaches to leverage out. Each interaction was a learning opportunity for both the students, myself as well as the community at large. 

Getting comfortable in presenting to dozens, and in some cases hundreds, of participants on a weekly basis in the newer avenue of shared learning spaces online, was not necessarily easy at first, but it sure was enjoyable! Creating the format and environment to make meaningful connections and learning through the online and in person learning environments was an absolute highlight.

Internship and Career Advisor 

Facilitated a Career Preparation course to undergraduate students in the School of Tourism and Hospitality as a mandatory prerequisite to seasonal academic internships. 

I had the chance to plan and lead a 2 day educational field trip for over 50 students to explore and connect business operators across Vancouver B.C. In the classroom, I used effective teaching skills to create an active and engaging learning environment for the students with a focus on experiential learning activities and professional vocational training.

Oversaw all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the beautiful Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort and Villas, while maintaining fiscal responsibility, controlling expenses or sourcing suitable suppliers to ensure economic viability and sustainability of the business.  

In a team of two, I helped manage over 50 Resort staff and contractors to ensure efficient operations and adherence to facility's policies and procedures, while providing ongoing hands-on assistance and training for staff members by participating in daily activities and helping to streamline processes across departments.

Effectively provided the necessary leadership and management oversight of the Marina Restaurant to effectively operationalize the facility consistent with OBMG annual business priorities and longer term business strategies.

General Manager

Lead the dining room crew, ensured all staff were thoroughly trained to carry out responsibilities and duties and meet and exceed performance standards, and provided assistance whenever necessary. Helped to facilitate training program and conducted performance evaluations with the General Manager, and worked closely with the General Manager and Marketing Department to coordinate promotions, incentives, special events, to develop regular guests and find new ways of bringing in new guests.

Restaurant Manager

AVIA West Resorts Inc. 

Prepared internal and external corporate documents for team members and industry partners to support the sales of rental condominiums in the Parkside Hotel. Coordinated all executive communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with clients while upholding strict level of confidentiality and professionalism.
