I wasn’t even planning to post about it. But when I saw two dark stores, both in the same city, selling the same item at different prices, and it got me thinking.

How often do we, as consumers, just accept this without question? Maybe it’s convenience. Maybe it’s ignorance. Or maybe we’ve just stopped noticing because it’s everywhere now.

We talk about transparency, ethics, and customer obsession all the time. Yet, when something as simple as pricing isn’t consistent, it quietly chips away at trust.

And this isn’t about Zepto alone. It could be any brand, any platform.

When did we start normalizing “that’s just how it is”?

If two stores in the same city can’t have the same MRP for the same product, what message does that send about fairness in pricing?

This might sound small, but moments like these make customers pause, and once that pause happens, trust doesn’t fully come back.

What do you think, is this just “business as usual,” or should brands be held more accountable for consistency in the basics?

I’ve been quiet here for a few days… and for once, it wasn’t because of work.

The last couple of weeks were all about Diwali lights, Gujarati New Year vibes, and much-needed downtime.

After the festivities, I extended the break a little, packed my bags, switched off notifications, and escaped to Alibag with friends.

Someone asked me this recently.
Their tone wasn’t rude, it was genuine curiosity.
Because from a pure ROI point of view, it doesn’t make sense.
No reach. No new audience. No immediate benefit.

But that’s the thing.
Not everything has to be a “benefit.”

I remember when I started.

When getting even *one* person to believe in what I was building felt like a win.

When every small collaboration, every shoutout, every message of encouragement kept me going for one more week.

So when someone with a small podcast, newsletter, or YouTube channel reaches out, I don’t see their numbers.

I see their intent.
Their effort.
Their courage to start when no one is watching.

If my presence can give them a little motivation to keep going, I’m in.

Because if not me, then someone else.
And if everyone waits for “someone else,” no one ends up helping.

Sometimes the best thing you can give another creator isn’t money, promotion, or advice.

It’s belief.

And who knows, a few years from now, that 100-subscriber podcast might just be the one everyone wants to get on.

We’ve all seen this message pop up in a WhatsApp group.

And what usually happens next?

Someone instantly drops the number or email right there in the group.

No second thought.
No private message.
No consent.

It looks like a small thing, just being helpful, right?
But it’s not.

Because when we share someone’s personal contact details publicly without asking, we’re crossing a line most of us don’t even realize exists.

Imagine this:
You start getting random calls or emails from people you don’t know… just because someone thought they were “helping.”

That tiny act of convenience becomes someone else’s privacy problem.

We talk so much about data privacy, GDPR, and digital safety at work, yet we forget it in our personal circles.

Consent isn’t only about big things. It’s about small moments like these too.

Next time someone asks for a number or email, pause.
Don’t be the first to share it.
Be the one who respects it.

Because privacy doesn’t start with policies.
