I sold Harvest to my business partner in 2018 in a very amicable split. 

Harvest Creative is a branding firm that excels in research, strategy and creative execution.

At Harvest, I managed all internal and external creative, strategy, programming, PR, photography, project management, and administrative teams to ensure timely delivery of all client projects. I also set P&L goals and company budget plans. 

Our project successes included a mix of marketing and branding/rebranding initiatives, digital work, and environmental design for clients in a range of industries. Some highlights include leading the rebranding of the Wendy’s Kids’ Meal program that is now in every Wendy’s in the US, development of Tractor Supply’s Neighbor’s Club loyalty program, developing branding and positioning for True Temper Golf to protect their position as the #1 shaft in the world, and design of eight Whole Foods stores.

I thought I had it in the bag.

When I first met with Kovix to pitch on their brand launch project, I knew I was the guy. I had done a decent chunk of branding & creative work in the outdoor/firearms industry. And I used to be a friggin' silencer engineer. Unknown to me at the time, Kovix was a new outdoor brand, working on what? Silencers. Perfect fit. Match made in heaven.

But they didn’t hire me.

WTH.

But a few days later, they called me back. Not for branding. But to engineer their first product. I said yes, and off we went. Fast. We spent a couple of wild months designing products, prototyping, testing, and building cool sh*t. Somehow, in less than 60 days, we had 4 silencer models ready for SHOT Show. Sure the baffles for the .22 rimfire silencer showed up on Wednesday, but we'll count it!

After the chaos of our first SHOT Show, I officially joined the Kovix team as Co-Founder and General Manager. I'm now leading the team's efforts on branding, marketing, product development, and operations.

Now, I’m helping build Kovix into a powerhouse outdoor and firearms brand. We design and manufacture ultra-lightweight silencers, high-performance outdoor gear, and apparel for those who refuse to compromise. Every product is built for the field, the range, and the mission.

Turns out, it was a perfect fit. I am the guy. It just took them a little while to realize it.

After 10+ years in mechanical engineering & product design, I finally realized that the marketers got to have all the fun.

So I started learning brand design, website design, video production, cinematography, VFX, and marketing.

In my free time, I started designing Adobe Illustrator. I edited videos in After Effects, only to realize that Premiere Pro was the right program for “normal” editing. I learned Photoshop and Lightroom. I started doing product renders and animations in KeyShot and learned Blender (kinda).

I rechanneled my skills as a design engineer found my passion for creative.

And at some point, I just quit.

I threw 5 years of college out the window, flushed my engineering career down the toilet, and started a little kick-ass marketing agency.

Now, I get to help small-ish business launch & grow with all the creative skills I’ve learned over the years.
