Migrant Wealth Builders is hosting Community Capital Exchange — a 60-person event connecting people with migrant backgrounds and the allies who support them to build wealth beyond money. 

Such as getting startup funding, buying a home, getting fit, starting a side project, landing a promotion, finding a mentor, growing a business, learning something new, or simply expanding your world.

To make it happen, we need:
🙌 3 all-rounders (heavy lifting may be involved)
📸 1 photographer
🎬 1 videographer (film on the night + edit a short recap after)

We also have opportunities for 4 community partners to come onboard.

25 skills are rising fast according to LinkedIn's 2026 report. The split between technical and human skills says everything.

LinkedIn just dropped their 2026 Skills on the Rise report.
Five categories. 25 skills total.

Categories: AI and Data. Software and Tech. Communication and Collaboration. Learning and Talent Development. Governance and Ethics.

15 skills are technical, including Prompt Engineering. Full-Stack Development. API Integration. Cloud Infrastructure. Model Training.

10 are soft skills. And that second list? Dominated by communication and leadership.

Visual storytelling. Stakeholder collaboration. Cross-cultural communication. Community building.

That's not a coincidence. That's a signal.

AI is getting better at running systems. What it still can't do well is read a room, build trust across cultures, or know which story will actually land with a specific human being.

The report essentially describes two types of professionals rising in value right now — people who build and run systems, and people who connect and communicate across them.

I've spent 15+ years in B2B marketing, branding and storytelling. Learning how to find the message, shape it for the right audience, and make it move people to action. I recently added formal screen and media (journalism) training on top of that.

None of that feels accidental anymore.

It's also the foundation of what we're building at Migrant Wealth Builders.
A media company and community with one focused outcome — giving people access to the right people, knowledge, and opportunities. The kind of access that changes trajectories.

Cross-cultural communication isn't a module we reference at MWB. It's the context we operate in every single day.

Community building isn't a feature of MWB. It's the foundation everything else sits on.

The technical skills matter. I'm not dismissing them. But if you're a communicator, a connector, a storyteller — the 2026 report is telling you something important.

You're not behind. You're exactly where the work is heading.

From what motivated someone to leap into their own business in the first place to what’s worked for them so far and what they’re having problems with. Having a background in accountancy I also understand that for many business owners, finance, tax and corporate structures equal headaches, confusion and glazed eyes.  So, it’s my role to educate and empower them so they feel as comfortable discussing the financial aspects of business as their core product.
