I'm a data geek and process nerd who loves to build people up and help them grow. For 20 years, I've been turning chaos into order at companies across all stages of growth to ensure that their teams flourish. I'm now throwing my passion for helping people into helping PhDs, PostDocs, and Mid-Career Researchers get jobs in industry. Virginia Tech

Conduct research funded by the National Science Foundation, primarily working on 4 multi-year projects, 1 in collaboration with 4 additional universities. Routinely analyze and model multi-agent systems using MATLAB and Python for coding (PyTorch for deep learning) and R for statistical techniques including regression, statistical inference, and fitting distributions.

Major NSF-funded projects include the following:

1. Investigating the role of active sensing in collective behaviors (01/2021–Present) 
Manage 2 projects within larger project—studying a response of a flocking model to geometry and collecting data on bats. 
2. Understanding energetic regulation in biological systems such as ant colonies (05/2023–Present)
3. Investigating model-free classification of collective behaviors (01/2020–12/2022)

• Developed a statistical algorithm for detecting stalling precursors in compressor systems for Measurement & Control Engineering Research Center.

• Designed a CAD model for particle detection and measurement device.

I love creating simulations from mathematical models to understand coordination and emergent dynamics of complex systems that are composed of many agents. With 6 years of experience in programming mathematical and statistical methods to analyze data, I specialize in turning real-world data into insights of how complex systems use coordination to achieve a unified goal. For example, how do ants in a colony regulate energy like a single super organism? As I approach my dissertation defense, I am looking for research scientist or an engineer role where I will have the opportunity to turn curiosity and data to solve real-world problems.
