Sandia National Laboratories

At Sandia National Laboratories, I develop and characterize nanobody-enzyme conjugates, such as covalently linking invertase to nanobodies and heavy chain-only antibodies (HcAbs) to build a modular platform for rapid detection of pathogenic antigens. I’ve engineered Bacterial and mammalian cell lines for cell-free nanobody production using advanced techniques like Gibson assembly, Golden Gate cloning, and optimized plasmid delivery (electroporation, conjugation, transfection). My work also includes library preparation and next-gen sequencing on Illumina and PacBio platforms, while I also streamline workflows by troubleshooting, crafting SOPs, and boosting scalability and efficiency

Postdoctoral Appointee

University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine

I spearheaded cutting-edge research into antibiotic-phage synergy, tackling Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci through in-vitro co-culture experiments and RNA transcriptomics. During the 2020 pandemic, I led a project surveying microbial composition and SARS-CoV-2 distribution in clinical environments, blending hands-on leadership with data-driven insights. My work also involved analyzing metagenomic data via 16S rRNA sequencing, unraveling microbial diversity and viral dynamics with precision.

The Center for Molecular Dynamics Nepal (CMDN), established in 2007, prides itself as a research-driven nongovernmental organization dedicated to promoting biomedical research in the country.
• Collaborated with research team and government agencies to estimate Bengal tiger population using non-invasive genetic techniques.
• Conducted viral screening for USAID PREDICT-Nepal Project, analyzing samples from rodents, monkeys, and bats.
• Contributed to conservation efforts in national parks and wildlife reserves.

With over four years of postgraduate research experience in diverse environments, I am adept at tackling complex research challenges, managing teams, and optimizing resources to achieve project goals. My background equips me to seamlessly transition into industry roles, leveraging my academic and research expertise to contribute significantly to the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
