Led a group of 4 peers over the course of one year in creating a research study exploring the sensory preferences of undergraduate students and their impact on GPA. Our manuscript is currently under review for publication, and in April of 2022 we presented a poster based on our work at the American Occupational Therapy Association's annual conference. 
Mentored a group of 4 students as they completed a research study investigating the normative data about sensory preferences of college students and their relationship with individual mindfulness. This manuscript is currently under review for publication.

Heres my story. 

In February of 2022, I decided to learn data analytics for fun. I created a Tik Tok account, and started documenting my journey to learn this new hobby (@anniesanalytics). 

Very soon, I realized that every day I was waking up and just wanting to write SQL, build visualizations, learn Python.... Work with data! So, I decided that once I finished graduate school (in Healthcare) in July, I was going to become a data analyst. 

Along the way, I have shared here and on Tik Tok everything I can about what it's like to learn data analytics, and how you can do it for free or at least very cheaply. I've shared about the ups and downs of job searching. I've even shared about how I have built a portfolio, and set myself up as a real analyst.

📢 Blending data with business knowledge!

It’s my motto! I work in the data analysis business, from where I try to solve problems by making data-driven decisions. 

⚠️ Hey, we all make decisions based on data… have you choosed a restaurant or hotel based on Google Maps? or have you asked Siri to query what song is being played?

🔔 There you go… those are examples of a decision based on data. Therefore, its important to make sure that we work with the right datasets -input- in order to solve problems or answer questions -output-.
That is when I come in. I learned technical processes to turn data into insights which invite shareholders to act. To accomplish this task, I have a toolbox full of soft and hard skills. 

✔️  On one hand, I learned to speak and write in R, Python and SQL; making visualizations in Tableau (preferred) and Power Bi. In addition, I have knowledge and experience in finance, accounting, statistics, it literacy and economics. 

✔️ On the other hand, I am pretty good storyteller and translator (indeed, I love to explain difficult concepts to people until they say ´aha, it was very easy to understand!´)

✔️ Lastly, I consider myself to have a very curious mindset, positive attitude towards challenges and humbleness. Sure, I am the kind of person who is willing to say ´Sorry, I don´t know about but I will do my best to learn and master that subject´ 

📢 *At present, I want to work in a data team in a company*. My dream is to work in companies related to consumer staples, consumer discretionary, supply chain, finance (payments or banks), IT or health (hospitals or software related.
