As safety officer it was my responsibility to direct oversized freight in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities as safety officer included developing route surveys for state and private entities, coordinating communications between the company, customer and state transportation agencies. In addition to route planning, I was also in charge of fleet maintenance of company equipment and safety inspection of freight.
