The Gummy Project

Supporting endangered species, one gummy at a time.

The Gummy Project is a purpose-driven brand that sells low sugar, plant based gummies. For every bag sold, we donate to support endangered keystone species. After launching in Canada, we expanded into the US and became available for purchase at Safeway, Sobeys, Whole Foods, Flair Airlines, Fairmont Hotels, Four Seasons, Wynn/Encore Hotels in Las Vegas, and my personal favourite - at Winnipeg Jets games. 

All the while, working to support The Bee Conservancy in New York and Ocearch, a global organization working to bring our oceans back to a place of health and abundance.

Vejii

At Vejii, we believe that by making vegan products more accessible to all, we can enable humanity to take better care of themselves and the planet.

The goal was to create the "Vegan Amazon." A one-stop online shop for everything vegan, from food and grocery to cleaning products, pet supplies - even wine! The company went public within one year, growing from the US into Canada and the UK, before ultimately being acquired :)

Think Shift

Responsible for acquiring new clients and growing YOY revenue growth, I took a 15-year old company from $3.5M (annually) to $14M (annually) in just three years, by creating an innovative content and inbound marketing program, that included marketing and sales automation platforms.

We grew the business from Canadian clients in the US, Europe and Middle East during this time and I had the honour to lead strategic planning workshops in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Israel, Switzerland and the United States.

An entertainment agency that managed nightlife promotions. This included pulling together investors to build a 700-person capacity nightclub with a staff of 45 people which was sold within its first year.

Over the past 23 years, Anthony has built six companies, published two books, spoken at events around the world, worked with executive leaders in 17 countries and been recognized with 11 international marketing awards.

Although a 23-year agency veteran, Anthony's unique perspective was born and bred in the 9+ years spent client-side, living in Europe and working with some of the best agencies in the world (Ogilvy, BBDO and more).

During this time, Anthony researched, evaluated and was pitched to by hundreds of agencies - making him an expert in what clients truly look for and care about when selecting an agency.

As a testament to this, in 2011, Anthony was brought on by the Canadian government to help redefine their RFP process for Canadian Crown Corporations.

In 2013, Anthony 'defected' back to the agency side, where he used his 'inside information' to grow a small agency from $3.5M to $14M in just three years; growing the client base from North America into Europe and the Middle East.

To date, Anthony has closed over $43M in agency new business and financing.

As a tenacious entrepreneur, Anthony has also built his own consulting practice and co-founded two ecommerce companies - exiting both successfully after taking each of them public (CSE) within 12 months.
