My roles include developing and enhancing software, documentation, and other content for several NEO community projects as well as support the NEO developer community (https://discord.gg/R8v48YA).

I contribute to several NEO Blockchain projects including: the NEO developer tool suite (neo-lux, neo-debugger and neo-gui-developer); the mwherman2000/neo-persistableclasses project – home to the NEO Persistable Class Framework for efficient object-oriented smart contract development using C#.NEO; and, lastly, the mwherman2000/dotnetquickstart project – home of the NEO Blockchain Quick Start Guide for .NET Developers. 

The neo-csharpcoe project is the home of the NEO Blockchain C# Center of Excellence (https://github.com/mwherman2000/neo-csharpcoe/blob/master/README.md). The neo-csharpcoe is an "umbrella" project for several initiatives related to providing tools and libraries (code), frameworks, how-to documentation, and best practices for full-stack development using .NET/C#, C#.NEO and the NEO Blockchain software platform.

I am also the founder of the first Canadian NEO Blockchain Meetup group (NEO Blockchain Toronto) and have helped bootstrap several additional Meetups worldwide including NEO Blockchain Vancouver, NEO Blockchain Cancun, and NEO Blockchain Turkey.

Mr. Herman has more than 40 years of professional experience managing the architecture, design and development of innovative software products at Optical Recording Corporation (ORC), Alias/Wavefront, IBM, Star Data Systems and most recently, more than 5 years with the Microsoft Corporation.  At Microsoft Canada, Mr. Herman was the lead enterprise consultant for several infrastructure engagements at CIBC, Ontario Hydro, Toronto District School Board and Inco.

More recently, he worked as a member of the Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server product groups where he was responsible for the strategy and execution of the developer technical readiness programs for the Microsoft internal field as well as external partner personnel.  He is the author of several developer whitepapers on Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server.

At ORC, Alias/Wavefront and Star Data Systems, Mr. Herman served as the Microsoft Windows Product Development Manager responsible for creating the initial and subsequent versions of the ORC Document Management System, Alias Upfront for Windows and Starquote NG.

In his 1991 Windows World keynote speech, Bill Gates, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Corporation, singled out Alias Upfront for Windows as the most innovative new graphics product for Microsoft Windows.

Mr. Herman has both Bachelor of Mathematics and Masters of Mathematics degrees in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.  Mr. Herman was the founding lab manager for the University of Waterloo Computer Graphics Laboratory.

Specialties: Working with advanced software companies to help them better understand new technologies and new technology directions - especially as it relates to the Microsoft Corporation and its strategies.
