Public blockchain data was never supposed to be a feature.

It was a workaround.

A temporary artifact of not having better tools.

Early blockchains had to expose everything because it was the only way for the network to verify the state.

Everyone had to see everything so consensus could work.

But that design came with a hidden cost:

→ Your salary
→ Your portfolio
→ Your transactions
→ Your trading strategy

All visible to everyone.

This wasn’t “radical transparency.”

It was a limitation of 2009 cryptography.

And now that limitation is finally breaking.

A new generation of privacy-preserving technologies is emerging that keeps the rails public while the data becomes encrypted by default.

→ ZK (zero-knowledge) proofs let you verify claims without exposing the inputs.

→ MPC (Multi-Party Computation) lets multiple participants collaborate without revealing anything to each other.

→ FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) lets smart contracts compute on encrypted data without ever decrypting it.

Meaning encrypted trades, liquidity, and balances are all computed but never revealed publicly.

This is not a small upgrade.

Encryption lets ETH, L2s, and chains like Solana keep their consensus engines exactly as they are, while transforming what happens inside the smart contracts.

→ For Ethereum, it means DeFi can evolve into private trading, private lending, private market making.

Without MEV extraction or leaking strategy to competitors.

→ For L2s, it introduces a new differentiation layer.

Not faster blocks, but encrypted execution environments that feel like running private apps on a public network.

→ For Solana, it means high-throughput apps can keep their speed.

While removing the data-leakage that scares institutions away.

And across every existing chain, it unlocks:

→ Dark pools without frontrunning
→ Payroll without exposing salaries
→ Regulated assets with selective visibility
→ Corporate accounting without leaking financials

This is the crypto version of the shift from HTTP to HTTPS.

The rails stay open.

The consensus stays public.

But the data finally becomes private.

And this is what unlocks mainstream adoption.
 
Because the 99% of global finance and enterprise workflows could not touch blockchain before due to privacy concerns.

Michael Saylor’s Strategy is now under the threat of being DELISTED.
 
And that alone could unleash up to $11.6B in forced liquidations.

Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) is the world largest Digital Asset Treasury (DAT) company.

• Trades at 0.9× mNAV
• Holds 649,870 BTC worth ~$54B
• Its stock is already down -43% year-to-date

So how did the strongest BTC balance sheet in the world end up in this position?

It all started with Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI).

One of the most influential index providers on the planet.
 
Their classifications dictate how trillions in passive capital move.

And MSCI is now questioning whether Strategy should be treated as a Digital Asset Treasury vehicle instead of a normal operating business.

If that sounds technical, here’s the simple truth:

↳ If MSCI reclassifies Strategy, it gets kicked out of multiple MSCI indices.
↳ And every passive fund tracking those indices is forced to sell.

JPMorgan analysts estimate $2.8B in immediate outflows if MSCI removes it.

And if Nasdaq, S&P, and Russell follow the same logic, another $8.8B of selling could hit.

Pushing the total potential sell pressure to $11.6B.

This is why the entire industry is paying attention.

Because this isn’t about Strategy alone.

It’s about whether companies holding BTC at scale will continue to be allowed inside mainstream financial benchmarks.

So what's Strategy's response?

Saylor pushed back instantly:

• Strategy is not a trust, fund, or holding company
• It’s an operating firm with $500M revenue software business
• Bitcoin is only a form of “productive capital” as a part of its treasury strategy

But index providers don’t move on belief systems.

They move on categorization.

And right now, Strategy no longer fits neatly in theirs.

This moment will decide something far bigger than one ticker:

→ Will corporate BTC treasuries be recognized as legitimate business strategy?
→ Or will they be pushed out of major indices and treated like investment vehicles?

The next MSCI update will shape that answer.

And billions of BTC flows depend on it.

We all talk about stablecoins as the next big meta in crypto.

But there’s another 100x opportunity still dormant.

Stablecoins already proved their point.

They surpassed $300B in market cap.

They settle more volume annually than VISA.

They have clear product-market fit across CEXs, DeFi, payments, remittances, on/off ramps, etc.

But tokenized equities?

They’re still sitting under $1B onchain.

That’s nothing.

The US equities market alone is worth well over $60 TRILLION.

So even a tiny slice migrating onchain — 0.5%, 1%, 2% — would mean hundreds of billions flowing into tokenized assets.

And the early signs are already here.

Many companies like Ondo Finance or xStocks are already offering tokenized stocks.

Even Nasdaq has recently filed a rule change to allow trading of tokenized stocks and ETFs on its order book using DTC’s blockchain infrastructure.

That's because traditional rails are slow, restricted by trading hours, clogged with intermediaries, and settle days after execution.

But tokenized stocks flip this on its head:

• 24/7 trading
• Global access
• Instant settlement
• Direct self-custody
• Full composability with DeFi

This unlock is massive.

When equities live natively onchain, they’re no longer trapped inside siloed brokerage accounts.

They become liquid, portable, programmable assets that can move freely across networks.

→ You can LP them.
→ You can borrow against them.
→ You can fractionalize or bundle them.
→ You can plug them into automated strategies and routing systems.

It also transforms market structure itself.

Capital becomes far more efficient because it no longer sits frozen in multi-day settlement cycles.

And liquidity becomes deeper because assets consolidate on shared onchain rails instead of being fragmented across dozens of brokers and venues.

Equities going onchain one day will be bigger than stablecoins.

Stablecoins were the proof of concept.

Tokenized equities will be the industrial revolution.

This is the meta nobody is paying attention to.

Many teams tried to build decentralized social networks.

Yet NONE of them escaped the gravity of web2.

For the last 4.5 years, Farcaster, Lens, friend dot tech and others tried to answer the same question.

Can you rebuild Twitter and Instagram onchain and get people to actually move there?

Farcaster went the furthest:

• Raised $100M from VCs
• Attracted top crypto natives
• Shipped a sufficiently decentralized protocol

On paper, they had everything a decentralized social network needed to break out.

Yet its Co-Founder and CEO Dan Romero just admitted the uncomfortable truth almost every SocialFi team avoids.

After years of shipping, iterating, and pushing growth, the social graph still didn’t scale.

The feed didn’t go mainstream.

The user base never escaped the early-adopter bubble.

Translation: they never found product-market fit.

So now Farcaster is pivoting away from the social-first strategy and prioritizing a wallet instead.

Ironically, the wallet category is already brutally competitive.

Coinbase Wallet (Base), MetaMask, Phantom and others dominate the market with far deeper distribution and trust.

If building a decentralized social network was a steep uphill climb.

Then going head-to-head with the largest wallets in crypto might be an even harder one.

But the real lesson is bigger than Farcaster.

Crypto crowd never liked X, Meta, LinkedIn and every web2 platform for years.

We talk about censorship, centralization, and owning your data.

Yet when given real Web3 alternatives, hardly anyone moves.

Because network effects don’t bend to ideology.

• Your distribution is still on X.
• Your audience is still on LinkedIn.
• Your conversations are still on Instagram and Telegram.

Decentralized social platforms never accumulated the liquidity of attention required to compete.

And without that liquidity, nothing scales.

Whether we like it or not, the world still runs on centralized feeds.

And decentralized social is still looking for its first real breakout moment.

FX (Foreign Exchange) is the world’s largest yet least modernized market.

Circle is now taking a direct shot at this outdated system.

So Circle is trying to reset the entire system.

This isn’t a small upgrade.

It’s a fundamental rewrite of how value moves between countries, institutions, and currencies.

Tether's solvency is being questioned again.

Traders say a BTC and gold price crash could wipe out its equity.

Here’s what’s actually going on.

Tether’s latest disclosures show about 77% of reserves in cash and cash equivalents.

Think short term T-bills, repos, bank deposits.

The boring, low risk stuff.

The remaining 23% sits in a risk bucket:

• Gold.
• Loans.
• Bitcoin.
• Corporate debt.
• And a vague “other investments” line.

On paper, Tether has a roughly $6–7B equity cushion on top of all USDT liabilities.

At the same time, its combined gold + Bitcoin position is over $20B.

Arthur Hayes dug into those numbers and made a simple point.

If BTC and gold fall roughly 30–40% from here, the mark to market loss on that bucket alone would be large enough to wipe out Tether’s equity.

At that point, USDT would be balance sheet insolvent on paper, even if redemptions kept working in practice.

That is the core of the “Tether is insolvent” narrative.

Now zoom out.

A few things can be true at the same time.

→ Tether is extremely profitable from its Treasury book.
→ Owners could, in theory, inject more capital if needed.
→ It has survived multiple stress events and large redemptions already.
→ USDT has very sticky demand across CEXs, perps markets and emerging markets.

So do I think Tether blows up tomorrow?

Probably not.

For a true run to break USDT you would likely need both:

1. A sharp crash in BTC and gold that nukes the equity cushion.
   
2. And a huge wave of redemptions that drains most of the 77% cash equivalent buffer.

That kind of double tail event is possible, but not very likely.

The real issue is the incentive structure.

Tether is taking a directional bet.

Rotate out of T-bills as rates fall.

Rotate into BTC, gold and other higher beta assets.

Capture upside on the house balance sheet.

If it works, Tether wins.

If it fails, USDT holders (aka you and me) are the ones underwriting the risk, even though they never share the upside.

Under the new U.S. GENIUS Act, a stablecoin is supposed to be backed 1:1 with dollars and true cash equivalents like short term Treasuries.

No big buckets of BTC, gold or opaque loans.

On that score, Tether in its current form would NOT qualify.

In plain English, Tether is:

• Exposing you to unnecessary risk to make more money on BTC and gold.
• Sharing exactly ZERO of that upside with you.

That risk is not systemic in my view.

But it is clearly NOT zero either.

So if you are comfortable underwriting that non-zero risk for the liquidity and convenience, you hold USDT.

If you are not, the market gives you plenty of more conservative alternatives like USDC.

Here are the key 8 insights that you need to know:

1/ L2s are shifting from retail casinos to financial infrastructure.

Capital, stablecoins and transaction volume are concentrating on a small group of L2s.

These chains already process the majority of L2 economic activity.

If you're an L2 without a clear institutional role, you're already behind.

2/ Most L2s still run on training wheels, and institutions notice.

Centralized sequencers control execution on nearly every L2 today.

Upgrade timelocks remain short, and emergency pause switches are still common.

For serious money, the real question is:

Who can stop this chain, and how fast?

3/ Ethereum data availability remains the institutional anchor.

Posting data to Ethereum gives L2s its security guarantees and its regulatory familiarity.

Alt-DA and validium designs reduce cost but introduce trust assumptions around committees, operators, and custody.

Institutional risk teams don’t ignore those assumptions.

4/ The L2 map is crowded, but the institutional shortlist is not.

There are more than 100+ rollups, yet institutional attention clusters around a few: 

• Base
• zkSync
• Arbitrum
• Some OP Stack chains

Those with transparent risk models, verifiable metrics, and clear decentralization roadmaps get the attention.

5/ Governance is now part of the L2 product.

Risk committees, upgrade frameworks, and public incident playbooks are becoming mandatory.

Banks and asset managers evaluate governance as seriously as throughput or fees.

6/ Fragmentation is the biggest operational risk for institutions.

Every new L2 adds another bridge path, exit window, gas token and settlement flow.

Institutions don’t want 50 isolated environments.

They want one unified settlement fabric that behaves predictably across the stack.

7/ Winners blend credible neutrality with compliance-ready design.

Chains that inherit Ethereum security while exposing clear monitoring, analytics and compliance layers look the most ready for RWAs and payments.

Pure degen chains or fully permissioned setups lose long-term relevance.

8/ Ethereum’s roadmap is effectively the L2 roadmap.

EIP-4844 already cut DA costs by ~90%.

Future upgrades around data sampling, proof verification and light-client security compound these gains.

Rollups aligned with Ethereum will benefit from institutional adoptions.

Whereas those drifting away only increase their risk and cost.

Most founders think their main problem is “tech.”

It’s not.  
The real issue starts way earlier: unclear requirements and zero alignment on what the product is supposed to do.

This is the usual pattern:

- “I saw a cool app, we should build something similar.”  
- No defined user.  
- No defined problem.  
- No defined outcome.

Half of these products don’t need to exist.  
A lot of them should have been simple automation instead of hiring a full engineering team.

Technical debt doesn’t come from bad tools.  
It comes from building without a clear target.

As software gets more commoditized (thanks to AI tools), nobody cares about your stack.  
They care if the thing actually solves a real problem.

If you can’t answer:  
• What are we building?  
• For whom?  
• What are all ways to solve it?

…then the tech will fail no matter how much you spend on developers.

I started running because it is fun to have a 60-90-minute chat with other entrepreneurs.

They appreciate opportunity in a way others just don’t.

But more than that –
For them, money or reputation isn’t the only thing at stake.
It’s their self-trust.

They’ve lost it once.
They know what it’s like to doubt themselves.
So now, they fight to never go back.

That’s why they show up.
That’s why they care.
That’s why integrity isn’t optional — it’s survival.

No matter how low you are –
if you care, and you work hard –
you will be recognized.

All engineers should move into a Product Engineering mindset.

Challenge requirements, advocate for user needs, and stop falling in love with technologies.

This mindset improves ROI for the business, 
removes unnecessary over-engineering, and 

improves the satisfaction of products built by engineers.

All the middle-layer roles like:
• Product Managers
• Business Analysts
• Engineering Managers

will gradually be merged with engineers.

There is no point in having 20 meetings to align on things that will later be implemented incorrectly because of a context gap.

The closer engineering is to the end user, the higher the chance to hit the goal.

Action Items: 
• Teach Engineers critical thinking 
• Allow to challenge Requirements 
• Incentivize product initiatives

The trade-off is more up-front investment in storing specifications.

The two biggest problems in Engineering: 
1. AI Productivity
2. Technical Debt 

And, funny enough, there's a direct correlation.
The more you use AI without a proper process, the more Tech Debt you create.

On the other hand, if you do only 2010-style programming, 
- not using AI Tools,

You're just unbelievably slow compared to AI-enabled engineering. 

And the truth is somewhere in between. 

Our list of rules for AI Engineering: 

1. Explore new Models/Tools on side projects
2. Integrated tested experiments into engineering teams fast
3. Keep old practices of QA / Security 
4. Always have HITL (Human/Architect in the loop) reviewing all the code.

It is very easy to go maximalist on one or the other end,
But with the mindful integration of AI into engineering, you can get reasonable productivity.

User Interfaces are no longer valuable. You might already be overspending on UX/UI.

Here is what’s coming for the development world:

The traditional software development cycle used to be:
1. Think about users you serve
2. Build UX/UI for their needs
3. Find early adopters
4. Teach the rest to love your UI

If 60%+ of users love your user interface, you've won the game.
People will still buy because everyone is getting used to the UX you’ve built.

What’s different in 2025 is that the need for heavy UI/UX has significantly decreased.

Forcing users to learn how to use a tool becomes more difficult.
If a simple chat like Claude or ChatGPT can throw the results they request with simple words into an LLM, why bother learning new tool UX?

Examples of website builders like Webflow or Figma show this clearly.
The chain of Business -> Design -> Development -> Business is broken.

With the proper setup, you can already fix problems as long as you own your codebase.

Bottom line: 

You should aggressively challenge the ideas behind how you deliver solutions to users’ problems.
The default thinking of the extra button, extra input, and asking the designer is not the way to model around.

Break old patterns and decisions made when development required large teams.
Think outside the box and tune in to user behaviours.

Yesterday I was chatting with a friend who works in a Creative Tech startup.

Creative teams often have a bad feeling about AI, mostly because of the familiar “AI will replace all of us” phobia.

We walked through a dead-simple AI adoption strategy that requires almost zero effort from the Founder.

Step 1
Create a custom agent (literally just a chat with clear instructions) and use it to validate the output of a specific department.

Nothing fancy. Any time you feel an itch that AI could help, cross-check the work with the agent and see what it suggests.

Step 2
Save those instructions into a shared document and make each department continuously improve and expand them.

Over time you’ll build a growing, living set of guidelines that AI agents can follow to produce and validate work.

This keeps AI adoption lightweight, low-friction, and fully aligned with how the team already works.

Shocking, the biggest issue was not a lack of AI, but

The 2nd Biggest issue is poor architecture and 8,000-line code files. 

Those things are likely caused by AI development,

101 Technical Debt Explained 

When you build from 0 to 1, everything appears from the void. 

Nothing is impossible, and things just pop up every week. 
Everyone is excited, and the train is moving.

Then you have Millions of Users, and you want to
"Just add this simple screen." 

And it takes 1 month! 
How come? We've built an entire app in 3 months

Adding a new screen is another 4 weeks? 
Something feels off....

The quality of the 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 will determine
The speed of execution of future features.

And there is no right or wrong. 

Building scrappy and throwing away is also a strategy
It should just be explicitly communicated.

When you build a house, you need to know: 
• How many people will live in it? - So you don't have to build attached buildings
• Do you need windows? - so you don't have to break walls later
• Are there hurricanes in the area? - So it is not getting destroyed after 1 season

All the questions apply to software.

Ask things early - NOT because you won't have technical debt,

Because you will have expected a measured Effort / Technical Debt Ratio.

SaaS won't be the same moving forward. 
We optimized five different tools to save thousands of dollars. 

And the best part is that it does exactly what we need. 
Without getting used to ugly UX from some random SaaS vendor.

When you own your software, the world is changing. 
You can tweak that small, annoying button, or you can delete unused functionality.

So, what matters after? 
Data Modeling, Security, Business Context. 

The ability to regenerate UI without critical errors or security leaks.

The ability ot know exactly what business workflow should look like.

I am very inspired by all the progress LLMs made for the Software world in 2025. 

Many says we will run out of, I say - we finally can focus on the fun and important part instead of selling Pixels for money.

Tech Hiring does not stop after onboarding.

Many CEOs feel anxious about bringing on more engineers to execute their ideas.

But the real problem is understanding how new people actually drive results in Delivery.

It does not simply mean
+2 Developers = +2 Features per Sprint.

This type of thinking creates bad patterns in Tech Hiring.

When we assume everything is “done” after Day 1, we assume these things never go wrong:

1. Team integration
2. Technology match
3. Process adherence
3. Actual delivery

If you don’t properly evaluate candidates post-onboarding,

You risk not only failing to improve delivery,
but also damaging the performance of the team you already have.

instead of learning how the system works, 

asking chat to show the latest charts -> allow to make decisions on how to show the data.


We are not there yet, but as a team building B2B SaaS,
We can see the shift is coming.

Your engineers are falling behind if they don’t do these 4 things on a weekly basis.
 
As much as everyone is too optimistic about AI products / Agents, coding agents actually work perfectly well under Senior Engineering guidance.

If you keep sending your team random SaaS for 19$/month thinking it will improve productivity, you’re just distracting them.
 
Here are the real 4 things any tech-enabled company should do not to fall behind in AI Tech:

Give your team dedicated weekly time to rebuild a part of the code with a new model and expand the documentation layer around it.

Have a dedicated weekly slot with an agenda where engineers share new tools, libraries, and things they’ve already adopted.
 
𝟯. 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗔𝗜 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀
Mix teams and let engineers see how others are using different models, workflows, and agents across the system.
  
𝟰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀
Most teams stop at the “cool demo”. If one team is already using something that works, turn it into a repeatable asset: documented, versioned, and built into your stack. 

Ship it so the whole org benefits, not just the people who experimented with it.

Cursor has ZERO dedicated Product Managers on staff.

Instead, they hire "Software Engineer, Product" - builder-engineers who focus on delivery, not requirements cycles.

How is this possible?

AI has fundamentally changed the product development equation.

The research and iteration loops that traditionally required dedicated PMs can now be accelerated by AI tools.

The new model: Empower doers. Remove the middleman. Ship faster.

The question isn't whether your team needs PMs. It's whether your engineers have the autonomy and tools to think like product owners.

People get lost in side questions and forget the single objective. If you can’t define the goal, you won’t hit it.

Sure, it’s nice to get ripped, have cool shoes, or get some media thrown in. But if the bar doesn’t go up, it doesn’t count.

This mindset helps me think long term in both training and client work. No distractions, no side quests.

Sometimes you need to spend months building a foundation that brings you closer to the goal. There’s no overnight success. It took me a decade to build the frameworks I use to hire and manage engineering teams.

No shortcuts.
Set the objective and measure your actions against it.
