Comedy Writing for Revenue Teams is a sales training consultancy to help go-to-market professionals leverage the skills, processes, and methods of stand-up comedians to:

- Transform them into more consultative sellers & stronger communicators
- Help them use storytelling 
- Arm them with impactful messaging for top-of-funnel efforts and beyond.

I facilitate tribal knowledge sharing, and align go-to-market functional teams around selected target persona and how persona is impacted by the problems a vendor solves, en route to teaching participants to convert knowledge to memorable messaging. That process is followed up coaching to help team members improve messaging and repurpose across multiple channels it for pipeline generation efforts. 
Key client results:

- Small SaaS (6 sellers): Generated $160K in net new revenue in 2 months, using hyper-relevant humor to spark conversations 1) at their trade show exhibit and 2) cold email

- Mid-sized SaaS: Lowered ramp time for new hires enabling new logos team to attain quota in their first quarter. 2 out of 6 new hires attained quota, w/rremaining hires delivering 6-figures of ARR. Generated $90K in net new revenue from from cold email. CRO also attributed ASP on new business increase 92% in quarter following my engagement.

- Large Ent. Tech Co: Grew Linkedin followers for Brand Evangelist by 20% by crafting & arming them with hyper-relevant humor about network observability for social selling efforts, public speaking, webinars & podcasts appearances

Comedy Abroad!

Comedy Abroad married comedy, travel, and social impact. We produced English stand-up comedy fundraiser shows in popular tourist destinations which benefit local NGOs. Our shows raised $23K USD for 8 NGOs collectively working to enhance education, healthcare, and social conditions, while giving travellers & locals a unique entertainment experience.  Our 3 Latin American tours took us to Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua. "Beta" video content was created to document our travels, while showcasing our comedians and the causes we supported.  Crowdfunded $10K USD to make our last tour happen.

Managing the brand has forced me to step out of my comfort-zone to become heavily engaged with  social media, my own comedic scout/booker, showrunner, webmaster, video storyteller, relationship-pursuer, and ambassador. Also produced the first-ever stand-up show as part of the first-ever "Pop Montreal" music festival.

Biond Consulting was an Oracle Pillar partner for Oracle Business Intelligence and Performance Management, and are the go-to partner in these areas for Eastern Canada.  They implement BI solutions (Dashboards, Ad-hoc, OLAP solutions, etc.) using Oracle BIEE, Analytic Applications, Hyperion Planning, the Microsoft BI stack, and the legacy Oracle tools.  It was acquired by PWC in 2014.

Highlights:
- Exceeded quota all but first year
- 3 years of services & license revenue exceeding $1M peaking at $1.5M in in FY09.
- Consistent Year-Over Year growth from 2006-2010 
- Closed business in 40 net new accounts
- Sales results helped grow firm’s consultant roster from 6 to 30 consultants
- Secured qualified and developed profitable projects, both net-new and within the existing installed base, by targeting & identifying opportunities through cold-calling, organic growth, networking, trade shows, Oracle sales reps, and online research. 
- Crafted deal & underlying scope with clients.
- Planned sales territory in order to understand our target market, opportunities, approach and plan of attack, particularly for Oracle’s entrance into Business Intelligence and Performance Management space.
Collaborated with appropriate consulting resources within Biond to assess and diagnose customer challenges.
- Built relationships with and educated Oracle sales reps on firm’s niche value proposition as a preferred Canadian Oracle partner.

Inside sales representive to Oracle E-Business Suite customers (installed based) for Eastern Canada.  Covered two sales territories and worked with up to 12 field reps simultaneously.  Exceeded 1st year budget by 25% of quota.  Met targets in 2nd year. (approx. $675K total).
* Planned out territory and sales efforts with each rep.
* Engaged required presales resources to support me in sales cycles.
* Negotiated and signed deals with customers.
* Leveraged other key Oracle resources (Industry Business Units, Development, Product Management) to close business.

Cold-calling/Prospecting role, with an assigned territory of Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, Maritime provinces).  Successfuly completed mandate to uncover $1 million of opportunity for Oracle Application Sales Managers (ASM).
* Worked with each ASM to understand their industry-focused sales territories.
* Learned value proposition of the Oracle EBS to those industries.
*Crafted cold-calling scripts aimed at senior management in mid to enterprise-sized accounts.

I spent 12 years (Oracle, startups) selling technology.  In spring 2011, I decided to get serious about my career, and began performing stand-up comedy.
