✨ Career Update: Onward + Upward ✨

After an incredible journey at Ramp, I’m beyond excited to share that I’m moving into the role of Head of Partnerships (Channel, Product, & Ecosystems) at Close.

My time at Ramp was truly formative - not just professionally, but personally. I’m profoundly grateful for the trust, mentorship, and incredible teamwork I experienced every day. To the entire Ramp team: thank you for challenging me, teaching me, and supporting me as I grew as a leader and as someone who firmly believes better together outcomes are how we unlock the biggest opportunities. I’ll always be proud of what we built together and the impact we made. 

Why Close? Close’s mission - to empower small and scaling businesses with a CRM that genuinely accelerates outcomes - resonates deeply with my own approach to partnerships and product ecosystems. Close isn’t about layering complexity; it’s about giving fast-moving teams clarity, velocity, and real revenue impact — something every SMB and mid-market organization deserves. 

What stood out most in my conversations with the team wasn’t just the product - though it’s truly exceptional - but the passion, authenticity, and relentless customer commitment of the people behind it. Their values align with mine: meaningful relationships, shared success, and building solutions that actually make a difference. From the first meeting to today, I felt that this is a group who doesn’t just talk about customer passion — they live it. 

In this role, I’ll be focusing on expanding Close’s Partner Program and Ecosystem  - developing strategic channels, integrations, and accelerating ecosystem-driven growth that bring more value to customers and partners alike. I believe the future of sustainable GTM is collaborative, and there’s no better team or platform to build that future with.

Here’s to new challenges, deeper partnerships, and bringing the Close platform to every ambitious SMB and mid-market team ready to grow smarter, faster, and better together.

What's that mean for you? 

My perspective - investing in 3 key plays in Q1 will make or break your year:

1. Personal, honest, relevant outreach matters deeply across sales and CS
2. "Driving growth" is old news, focusing on the markets needs will win now 
3. Your channels need to be more intentional and clear, period 

Partnerships is still MY favorite way to add clients to your business 

But that only works when you have a solid foundation to work from

Partner "activation" is not simply when they sell their first deal 🫣 

It seems everyone is seeking out a clear definition of Partner activation early 

I understand the need for measurable success in GTM, it's part of the game

What if we consider success in terms of client value rather than just transactions? 

In my view, activation occurs when a partner consistently helps a customer derive value. 

This means the partner engages in specific actions at regular intervals for the client: building a list, sending an email, or calling an API, and these actions must be defined and recorded. 

Partner leaders I speak with are hyper focused on channel optimization, but I believe this begins with establishing a clear activation metric for true Partner Market Fit

Here’s my model: 
(X%) of partners perform (# of Actions) within a defined (Timeline) 

For example, if 80% of my partners log into a client portal and complete three specific actions from a predefined list of valuable tasks each month, we can monitor this for trends over time, making it scalable.

We need to shift from a sales mindset of "they sold once, how do we reactivate" to a growth mindset of "they added value again, how do we enable more of it."

These are my thoughts after engaging with numerous partners today. 

Let's keep it simple; partnerships should lead to better outcomes together.
