It’s not often that, as a recruiter, you get to place a close friend, let alone the best man at your wedding. (Yep, you read that right!)

Paul has been a dear friend for over a decade. 

It started with him being my mentor/manager, and over the years, we became close friends. He coached me through my early years in B2B SaaS sales. 

I lived in his apartment on the canals of Amsterdam for some years, he witnessed me falling in love with my wife, and stood by me through the good days and the hard ones.

On my wedding day, Paul (being my best man) walked up to me, showed me a Digital contract on his phone, and said: “Here’s a gift for you, buddy.”

He signed it right there and then.

It’s full circle, and beautiful, when parts of your personal and professional network come together like this.

Yesterday, they announced their 21M Series A, and we’re exclusively hiring 12 GTM + several IT roles for them in Berlin. 🚀 🎉

In 10 months: 1,400+ brands use Peec AI to understand how they show up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini. $0 to $4M+ ARR growth. 300+ new customers per month. Attio, n8n, ElevenLabs, Axel Springer, TUI and many more. All inbound.

"Handle this interview process like your most valuable prospect." 

I tell my candidates: Great deals are closed due to executing every step/managing every stakeholder perfectly along the way, and it's exactly what you should do during an interview process as well. 

I've seen the best sales reps and leaders (I'm talking years of top-performing B2B SaaS sales experience) struggle with their interviewing skills.

They mess up simple things like prepping an agenda, running a first interview like a discovery call, and simply following up after the meeting. 

Henceforth, if you are interviewing, treat the process like you would a top deal in your pipeline

-> prep accordingly (company, market, and personal due diligence)
-> reach out before meetings  
-> set an agenda 
-> ask great (follow-up) questions 
-> manage time accordingly
-> close the next step 
-> follow up after the meeting
-> multithread and reach out to other stakeholders 
-> repeat
